dc.description.abstractGezi edebiyatı ile ilişkilendirilen kavramlardan biri olan mesafe kavramı, gezi deneyiminin yapısal olgularından birini meydana getirmektedir. Gezgin yazarın bir mekân ile arasına koyduğu mesafe, onun bir yandan alışageldiği mekânın gerçekliğini dışarıdan görebilmesine, diğer yandan alışık olmadığı bir mekânda, kendine ait ve daha önce yaşamadığı bir var olma ve hissediş deneyimi yaşamasına olanak veren bir durum olmaktadır. Mekân ile bağlantılı olarak ele alınabilecek bu şekilde bir mesafe olgusu, dünya ve benlik algısına dair olağan ötesi bir perspektifi mümkün kılmaktadır. Bu noktada, gezi edebiyatı eserleri, içerdikleri tanımsal önermeler ve bireysel değerlendirmeler aracılığıyla, oldukça soyut bir nitelik taşıyan mesafe olgusunu böyle bir perspektiften irdelemeye olanak vermektedirler. Bu makalede, gezgin yazarın mekânlar arası mesafeye bakışını karşılaştırmalı edebiyat yöntemi ile yirmi birinci yüzyıl Türk gezi edebiyatı çerçevesinde ele alarak, bir gezi deneyimi bileşeni olarak kat edilen mesafenin mekânı nasıl dönüştürdüğü ve böylelikle gezgin yazara ne şekilde farklı bir var olma ortamı yarattığı, poetik bir yaklaşımla incelenecektir.en_US
dc.description.abstractDistance, among the notions associated with travel literature, constitutes one of the key facts of travel experience. The distance that the writer traveler realizes between herself/himself and a place, represents a situation which, from one hand, creates the possibility to perceive the reality of a familiar space from an external position, on the other hand, to live, inside an unfamiliar space, an experience of being and feeling that s/he did not have before. Such consideration toward the notion of distance as it is related to place, makes possible a perspective that goes beyond the ordinary facts regarding the conception of the world and selfness. At this point, travel writings, with the interpretative suggestions and individual deliberations within, provide the necessary content to take into consideration from that very perspective the fact of distance which has strongly an abstract substance and connotation. In this paper, after the words of writer travelers and in the context of twentyfirst century Turkish travel literature, the perception of distance between places will be discussed through a comparative literature perspective and from a poetic approach. And by the realization of that projection, it will be shown how distance, as a constituent of the act of travelling, transforms the space and produces for the writer traveler a different environment of being present in space.en_US
