Özet
Bangladeş, Türkiye ile tarihsel ve kültürel bağları olan bir ülkedir. Dolayısıyla
Türkiye’deki olaylar genellikle Bangladeş medyasında da yer almaktadır. Bangladeş basınının
Türkiye’deki darbe girişimiyle ilgili haberlerinin sunumunu eleştirel bir perspektiften
değerlendirmek ve medyanın toplumsal algı üzerindeki etkisini anlamaya çalışan bu araştırma,
Türkiye’deki 15 Temmuz Darbe Girişimi ile ilgili Bangladeş basınında çıkan haberlerin
eleştirel söylem analizi yöntemleriyle incelenmiştir.
Tüm bunlarla birlikte çalışma içerisinde yer alan ve Bangladeş basınında çıkan haberler
dil, tonlama, ideolojik eğilim, retorik ve etik unsurlar kapsamında bir değerlendirilmeye
çalışılmıştır. Bu analiz ile haberlerin dilindeki ideolojik eğilimler, manipülasyon, ötekileştirme,
dezenformasyon gibi habercilik ilke ve etiğine aykırı unsurlar belirlenmeye çalışılmıştır.
Ayrıca, haberlerin toplum üzerindeki etkisi ve medyanın haber sunumundaki tarafsızlık,
doğruluk, etik ve toplumun birliği gibi ilkeler ele alınmıştır.
Medyanın haber sunumunda aktif bir rol oynayarak toplumsal algıyı
şekillendirebileceği gerçeği araştırmanın önemini ortaya çıkartmaktadır. Bangladeş basınındaki
haberlerin eleştirel bir analizi, Türkiye’ye dışarıdan bir bakış açısı sunarak farklı perspektifleri

anlamamıza ve medyanın haber sunumundaki olası önyargıların belirlenebilmesi açısından
ayrıca önem arz etmektedir. Ayrıca, elde edilen bulgular, medyanın haber sunumundaki
çeşitlilik, doğruluk ve tarafsızlık gibi ilkeleri göz önünde bulundurarak toplumun bilgi edinme
sürecinde daha sağlıklı bir iletişim ortamının oluşturulmasına katkıda bulunabilir.
Bangladesh is a country with historical and cultural ties to Turkey. Consequently, events in Turkey are often covered in the Bangladeshi media. This research aims to critically evaluate the presentation of news related to the attempted coup in Turkey within the Bangladeshi media, seeking to understand the impact of the media on societal perceptions. The study employs critical discourse analysis methods to examine how news regarding the July 15th Coup Attempt in Turkey was portrayed in the Bangladeshi media. Within this study, an evaluation is made of the news published in the Bangladeshi media concerning language, tone, ideological inclinations, rhetoric, and ethical considerations. This analysis attempts to identify elements within the language of the news that may go against journalistic principles and ethics, such as ideological inclinations, manipulation, othering, and disinformation. Additionally, the study addresses the impact of news on society and principles such as neutrality, accuracy, ethics, and societal unity in the presentation of news by the media. The research highlights the significance of the media’s active role in shaping societal perceptions through news presentation. A critical analysis of news in the Bangladeshi media v offers an external perspective on Turkey, aiding in the understanding of diverse perspectives and identifying potential biases in media presentation. Moreover, the findings obtained, considering principles such as diversity, accuracy, and neutrality in news presentation, can contribute to establishing a healthier communication environment for the public’s informationgathering process. This analysis underscores the role of media in shaping societal perceptions and highlights the importance of critical evaluation for a more nuanced understanding of global events and their portrayal in the media, particularly from an external viewpoint such as that of Bangladesh. Additionally, it emphasizes the role of media in upholding ethical standards and fostering a more informed and balanced societal communication environment.
