Abstract
Dünya tarihinde en ilgi çekici dönemlerden birisi Soğuk Savaş yıllarıdır. II. Dünya Savaşı'nın son bulmasıyla başlayan ve SSCB'nin dağılması ile sona eren dönem dünyayı küresel ve yerel sorunlara gebe bırakmıştır. Yaşanan yerel doğum sancılarının en acı şekilde hissedildiği bölgelerden birisi de Balkanlar olmuştur. Bu bölge sahip olduğu kaotik yapısı ve konumu itibariyle bilhassa Soğuk Savaş sonrası yıllarda uluslararası güçlerin hesaplaşma alanı olmuştur. Soğuk Savaş sonrası Balkanlar üzerinde yaşanan karmaşık gelişmeler sonucunda, Sırpların Kosava'ya saldırması kaçınılmaz olarak Kosava'nın bağımsızlığına giden süreci başlatmıştır. Bu çalışmada ise Soğuk Savaş sonrasında Kosava'nın bağımsızlığına giden süreç ve Kosava'nın bağımsızlığını kazanmasında NATO'nun Soğuk Savaş sonrası dönüşümü ve KFOR'un bu sürece etkisi kronolojik olarak anlatılmıştır.
The period of The Cold War is one of the most interesting periods in the world history. The period, wich starting with the end of World War II finished with disintegration of the USSR caused global and local problems. From this point of view, the Balkans is one of The regions strongly effected by these problems . International actors, especially after the Cold war used this zone as a competition area because of its importance. In this study (after the Cold War) complicated developments, chronological cries in this region are clarified. Moreover, the process going towards the independence of Kosovo after the Cold War, NATO?s transformation on the path of gaining Kosovo?s independence, and KFOR?s effects on the process are explored. Regarding the developments encountered the independence of Kosova, KFOR and these effects on the period are denoted.
