dc.description.abstractGiriş: Çalışmamızda, subklinik hipotiroidi tanısı konan hastalarda solid gıdaların mideden boşalmasında sağlıklı bireylere göre farklılık olup olmadığını araştırmayı amaçladık. Materyal ve metod: Subklinik hipotiroidi tanısı konmuş 20 hasta çalışmaya alındı. Aynı yaş grubunda on sağlıklı birey kontrol grubunu oluşturdu. Tüm bireylerde 250 uCi 99mTc-sülfür kolloid ilave edilmiş solid gıda ile mide boşalma yarılanma zamanı hesaplandı. Bulgular: Her iki grupta da serum serbest T3 ve T4 değerleri normal sınırlar arasında olup istatistiksel fark bulunmamaktadır. Ancak serum TSH düzeyi subklinik hipotiroidili grupta belirgin olarak yüksektir. Mide boşalma yarılanma zamanı subklinik hipotiroidi grubunda 123.9418.58 dk, kontrol grubunda 101.8025.56 dk bulunmuştur. İki değer arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir fark bulunmamaktadır (P0.455). Sonuç: Subklinik hipotiroidili hastalarda ötiroid bireylere göre mide boşalma zamanının değişiklik göstermemesi, gastrointestinal disfonksiyonun hipotiroidinin şiddetine bağlı olduğunu düşündürmüştür.en_US
dc.description.abstractObjective: The aim of this study is to investigate of solid phase gastric emptying in patients with subclinical hypothyroidism and to compare it to healthy subjects. Material and methods: Twenty patients with a recently established diagnosis of subclinical hypothyroidism and 10 age-matched healthy subject participated in this study. Gastric emptying half-time was calculated with solid food labeled with 250 \umCi 99mTc-sulfur colloid. Results: There was no difference between serum free T3 and T4 values in both groups. Serum TSH level was significantly lower in subcljnical hypothyroid group than in controls. Gastric emptying half-time was 123.94±18.58 min in subclinical hypothyroid group and 101.80±25.56 min in control group. Gastric emptying half-times was similar in both groups (P0.455). Conclusion: We may suggest that in subclinical hypothyroidism, gastric emptying of solids were similar to that in agematched healthy control subjects and gastrointestinal dysfunction is dependent on severity of hypothyroid state.en_US
