Salt weathering is a process of rock disintegration that takes place in a variety of environments and affects many kinds of rocks. Salt crystallization is one of the most important degradation mechanisms on the effect of rock weathering. Salt weathering is especially effect on the pores rock and affects the rocks, which contains cracks and micro cracks. In this study, the resistance of stones against salt weathering was estimated by ultrasonic measurements and weight loss approximation. Experiments were carried according to simulation of the natural environment in laboratory. © 2006. International Scientific Conference SGEM.en_US
