Özet
Soğuk Savaş sonrası popülerleşen ve bu dönemle özdeşleştirilen globalleşme siyasal, kültürel, ekonomik, teknolojik, finansal, coğrafi, sosyal ve askeri boyutlarıyla dünyayı etkilemiş ve birçok disiplinde de bu boyutlar açısından tartışma başlatmıştır. Globalleşme Uluslararası lişkileri de etkilemiş, terminolojisini ve içeriğini genişletmiştir. Bu süreçte Uluslararası lişkiler teorilerinde yeni yaklaşımlar geliştirilmiş, eski bazı yaklaşımlarda önemini yitirmiştir. Fakat bu dönemi karşılayan bir kavram üzerinde henüz uzlaşmaya varılamamış yine bu dönemi açıklayıcı kapsayıcılıkta bir paradigma oluşturulamamıştır. Bunlara rağmen, Globalleşme hem bu dönemi kapsayan bir kavram (uluslararası sistem olarak) hem de bu dönemi açıklayacak bir Uluslararası lişkiler paradigması olarak görülebilir. Bu çalışmada, globalleşme kavramı yukarda bahsedilen boyutlarıyla ele alınmış ve Uluslararası lişkiler disiplinine etki ve katkıları incelenmiştir.
Beginning after the cold war, globalization has become popular and the period after cold war has been marked by it. Globalization has influenced the world in many dimensions such as politics, culture, economy, technology, finance, geography, social life, and security. Furthermore, globalization has emerged discussions in many disciplines in terms of dimensions mentioned above. It has also affected the theories of IR and broadened its terminology and scope. During this process, new approaches have been developed and the old ones have lost their importance. However, a consensus has not been reached regarding a new concept referring to these new developments. A new and comprehensive paradigm has also not been developed yet. Despite these problems, globalization can be considered as a concept referring to this new era and as a paradigm explaining it. In this study, the concept of globalization, its effects and its contributions to the IR discipline were discussed.
