Üniversite öğrencilerinin hücre bölünmeleri ile ilgili kavram yanılgılarının iki aşamalı çoktan seçmeli bir test ile belirlenmesi

| dc.description.abstract | Bu çalışmanın amacı, hücre bölünmeleri konusu ile ilgili iki aşamalı çoktan seçmeli kavram yanılgı testi geliştirmek ve üniversite fen bilimleri öğrencilerinin bu konu ile ilgili kavram yanılgılarını belirlemektir. Bu amaç doğrultusunda 16 sorudan oluşan iki aşamalı, çoktan seçmeli hücre bölünmeleri kavram yanılgı teşhis testi geliştirilmiştir. Bu test Selçuk Üniversitesi Eğitim Fakültesi'nde öğrenim görmekte olan 469 öğrenciye 2007-2008 öğretim yılında uygulanmıştır. Uygulama sonucunda verilerin analiz edilmesiyle üniversite öğrencilerinin hücre bölünmeleri konusu ile ilgili kavram yanılgılarına sahip oldukları tespit edilmiştir. Bu kavram yanılgılarından bazıları şunlardır; ?Mitotik hücre döngüsünde kromozomal DNA miktarı hiçbir safhada değişmez?, ?Mayoz bölünmede hem homolog kromozomlar hem de kardeş kromatitler ayrılır ve kromozom sayısı iki defa yarıya iner ?, ?Mayoz bölünmenin birinci aşamasında homolog kromozomlar ayrılır ve ikinci aşamada bu kromozomlar aynen yeni hücrelere aktarılırlar?, ?Bir hücredeki kromozom sayısı interfazda iki katına çıkar ve bu sayı mitozun bütün safhalarında korunur?, ?Diploit bütün hücrelerde mayoz bölünme görülebilir?, ?Bakteri mitoz bölünme ile çoğalır ve bölünmesi sırasında iğ iplikleri oluşur?. Ayrıca öğrencilerin test sorularına verdikleri cevapların cinsiyete göre dağılımı t-testi kullanılarak karşılaştırılmış ve cinsiyetler arasında dikkate değer bir fark olmadığı tespit edilmiştir. Sonuçlar literatür bilgisi ile karşılaştırılmış ve öneriler geliştirilmiştir. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | The aim of this study is to develop a two-tier multiple choice test on cell divisions misconception and to detect university students? misconceptions about the cell divisions subject. For this goal a two-tier multiple choice test on cell divisions misconception which consists of 16 questions has been developed. This test applied to 469 university science students, on duty during the education year of 2007-2008, in Selcuk University Faculty of Education. Attend of the application, it has been detected that the students have misconceptions about the cell divisions. Some of the misconceptions are; ?The chromosomal DNA amount in mitotic cell cycle doesn?t change in ever phase?, ?Both homolougs chromosomes and sister chromatids are seperated in meiosis division and the amount of chromosome numbers are reduced by half in two times?, ?Homolougs chromosomes seperate in first step and these chromosomes transfer into new cells in second step of meiosis division?, ?The total chromosome number in a cell is duplicate in interphase and this chromosome number is sustained in all phases of mitosis division?, ?It is possible that there is a meiosis division in all diploid cells?, ?Bacteria reproduces with mitosis division and while dividing they produce spindle fibers?. Additionally, the distributions of the answers given to test questions by the students according to genders, the correct answers in the distribution have been compared through t-test and it has been proved that there is no noticable difference between genders. The results have been compared with literature and implications have been developed. | en_US |
