Özet
Bu çalisma metal enjeksiyon kaliplarinda yolluk tasariminin, parçanin döküm kalitesi üzerine etkisinin arastirilmasi amaciyla yapilmistir. Bu amaçla birisi kalin digeri ince kesitli iki farkli parça için iki adet kalip ve her iki kalip üzerinde birbirinden farkli ikiser adet döküm yollugu planlanmistir. Döküm kalitesinin gözlemlenebilmesi için her iki kalipta da birinci tip yolluk; yolluk tasarim kriterlerine aykiri ve ikinci tip yolluk ise kriterlere uygun olarak tasarlanmistir. Her iki kalip için de tasarim kriterlerine aykiri ve uygun yolluklarla yapilan baskilarda elde edilen parçalarin kesit ve dis yüzey konturlari incelenmistir. Uygun yolluklu kaliplarla yapilan baskilarda parçalarin döküm kalitelerinin yüksek oldugu gözlemlenmistir. Çalisma sonucunda kalin kesitli parçalar için; tek yönlü ve kalip içi sivi metal çarpismalarini önleyecek nitelikteki yolluklarin, ince kesitli parçalar için ise; tek yönlü ve kalip boslugunu en kisa sürede dolduracak nitelikteki yolluklarin uygun yolluk biçimleri oldugu kanisina varilmistir.
This study was made to investigate the effect of gating design of metal injection moulds on the casting part?s quality level. For this purpose, two different moulds that have two different changeable casting gates, was planned for two parts which one is thick sectioned and another one is thin sectioned. For two moulds the first casting gate was designed as a suitable application for gate design criterions and the second one was designed as an unsuitable application to observe casting quality. The sections and the contours of the part?s which was pressed in moulds with suitable and unsuitable gates applications for design criterions were examined. It was observed that the casting quality was good on moulds with the suitable gates. The results of the study showed that; the gates are suitable which has only one direction and prevent fluid metal conflicts in mould cavity for thick sectioned parts and the gates are suitable which has only one direction and fill the mould in the shortest time for thin sectioned parts.
