dc.description.abstractBu çalışmanın amacı metne bağlı inceleme yöntemiyle, Paul Auster ve Metin Kaçan'ın eserlerinin postmodern bağlamda karşılaştırmalı analizini yaparak farklılık ve benzerlikleri ortaya çıkarmaktır. Paul Auster'in ?Cam Kent?, ?Hayaletler? ve ?Kilitli Oda?, Metin Kaçan'ın ?Ağır Roman?, ?Fındık Sekiz? ve ?Adalara Vapur? eserleri araştırma kapsamında ele alınmıştır. Tezin teorik kısmı üç bölümden meydana gelmektedir. Birinci bölüm Paul Auster ve Metin Kaçan hakkında bugüne kadar yapılmış yüksek lisans ve doktora tezleri hakkında bilgi vermek ve araştırmanın yerini saptamak üzerine kurulmuştur. İkinci bölümde postmodern düşünce hareketi ve sanata yansımaları ele alınmıştır. Üçüncü bölümde yazarların hayatı ve edebi kişiliklerine dair bilgiler verilmiştir. Tezin uygulama kısmında, önce Paul Auster ve Metin Kaçan'ın eserleri postmodern edebiyatın öne çıkan özellikleri bağlamında değerlendirilmiştir. Karşılaştırmalı analiz bölümünde ise önceki bölümde elde edilen veriler doğrultusunda postmodern edebiyat bağlamında karşılaştırmalı olarak incelenmiştir. Tezin sonuç bölümünde ise, postmodernizmin kuramsal olarak kavranışından, sanatsal olarak algılanışına uzanan ve incelememize konu olan eserlere nasıl yansıdığını ortaya koyan genel bir değerlendirme yapılmıştır. dc.description.abstractThe purpose of this study is to reveal differences and similarities by making a comparative analysis of the Works of Auster and Metin Kaçan, in the context of postmodern, with a text based method. Paul Auster?s ?City Of Glass?, ?Ghosts? and ?The Locked Room?, Metin Kaçan?s ?Ağır Roman?, ?Fındık Sekiz? and ?Adalara Vapur? have been discussed within the scope of research. The theoretical part of the thesis consists of three chapters. The first chapter has been built to give information about the theses of master and dissertation made so far about Paul Auster and Metin Kaçan and determine the scope of research. In the second chapter, it has been discussed the movement of postmodern thought and its reflections on art. In the third chapter, information about the lives and literary characters of the authors has been given. In the application part of thesis, first the Works of Paul Auster and Metin Kaçan have been evaluated in the context of leading characteristics of postmodern literature. In the chapter of comparative analysis, the data obtained in the previous chapter has been examined in the context of postmodern literature by comparatively. In the conclusion section, it has been made an overall assessment about dating from the theoretical conception of postmodernism to the perception of artistic works and how does postmodernism reveal the reflection on the subject of this study, Key Words: Postmodernism, Postmodern Art, Postmodern Literature, Postmodern Novel, Paul Auster, Metin Kaçanen_US
