Özet
Bu çalışma, üniversite öğrencilerinin/tüketicilerinin organik hayvansal ürünlere yönelik bilgi, tutum ve davranışlarını belirlemeyi amaçlamaktadır. Araştırmanın temel materyalini, üniversite öğrencilerinin organik hayvansal ürünlere yönelik bilgi, tutum ve davranışlarını ölçmek üzere tasarlanmış anket verileri oluşturmaktadır. Ankette, öğrencilerin sosyo-demografik özellikleri, organik hayvansal ürünlere yönelik bilgi, tutum ve davranışları hakkında sorular yer almaktadır. Alan uzmanlarının görüşlerine sunulan anketin, geçerliliği ve güvenilirliği incelenmiştir. Veriler, analiz edildikten sonra son şekli verilen "Organik Hayvansal Ürünlere Yönelik Bilgi, Tutum ve Davranış Anket Formu" aracılığıyla toplanmıştır. Araştırma verileri, nicel yöntemler ve tarama modeli kullanılarak toplanmıştır. Çalışmaya 1389 üniversite öğrencisi dâhil edilmiştir. Verileri 15 Ekim 2023- 15 Ocak 2024 tarihleri arasında toplanmıştır. Analizde t testi, ANOVA ve Pearson Korelasyon testi kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda üniversite öğrencilerinin organik ürünler hakkında yeterli bilgiye sahip olmadıkları, ancak organik hayvansal ürünleri tükettiklerini belirttikleri tespit edilmiştir. Üniversite öğrencilerinin organik hayvansal ürünler hakkında bilgi edinme kaynakları arasında internet, sosyal medya, aile ve akrabalar öne çıkmaktadır. Ayrıca, öğrencilerin organik hayvansal ürünler arasında süt ve süt ürünleri ile kırmızı veya beyaz eti tercih ettiği tespit edilmiştir. Araştırmaya katılanların organik hayvansal ürünleri sağlıklı, besin değeri yüksek ve güvenli buldukları gözlemlenmiştir. Bu ürünleri genellikle memleketlerinden veya tanıdık üreticilerden temin ettikleri ve sağlıklı, lezzetli ve kaliteli olarak değerlendirdikleri görülmüştür. Üniversite öğrencilerinin organik hayvansal ürünlere yönelik bilgi, tutum ve davranışlarının bazı değişkenlere göre istatistiksel olarak anlamlı şekilde farklılaştığı ortaya çıkmıştır. Organik hayvansal ürünlere yönelik bilgileri ile tutumları arasında zayıf bir pozitif ilişki bulunurken, tutum ile davranışları arasında ise pozitif yönde orta düzeyde anlamlı bir ilişki saptanmıştır. Bu çalışmanın sonuçları, üniversite öğrencileri organik hayvansal ürünlere yönelik bilgi, tutum ve davranışları hakkında önemli bilgiler sağlamaktadır. Ayrıca, Türkiye'de üniversite öğrencileri arasındaki organik hayvansal ürünlerin popülerliği ve tüketim alışkanlıkları hakkında kapsamlı bir anlayış sunmaktadır.
This study aims to determine the knowledge, attitudes and behaviours of university students/consumers towards organic animal products. The main material of the study consists of questionnaire data designed to measure the knowledge, attitudes and behaviours of university students towards organic animal products. The questionnaire includes questions on socio-demographic characteristics of students, their knowledge, attitudes and behaviours towards organic animal products. The validity and reliability of the questionnaire, which was presented to the opinions of experts in the field, were examined. The data were collected through the "Questionnaire Form on Knowledge, Attitude and Behaviour towards Organic Animal Products", which was finalised after analysis. The research data were collected using quantitative methods and a survey model. The study included 1389 university students. The data was collected between 15 October 2023 and 15 January 2024. T-test, ANOVA and Pearson correlation test were used in the analysis. As a result of the research, it was found that university students do not have sufficient information about organic products, but they do say that they consume organic animal products. The internet, social media, family and relatives are the most important sources of information about organic livestock products for university students. In addition, it was found that students prefer milk and dairy products and red or white meat among organic animal products. It was observed that the respondents perceived organic animal products to be healthy, nutritious and safe. It was observed that they generally source these products from their home towns or from familiar producers and they perceive them as healthy, tasty and of high quality. It was found that the knowledge, attitudes and behaviours of university students towards organic animal products differed statistically significantly according to some variables. While a weak positive relationship was found between their knowledge and attitudes towards organic animal products, a positive and moderately significant relationship was found between attitudes and behaviours. The results of this study provide important information about the knowledge, attitudes and behaviours of university students towards organic animal products. It also provides a comprehensive understanding of the popularity and consumption habits of organic animal products among university students in Turkey.
