Abstract
Karbapenem grubunun 2007 yılında FDA (Food and Drug Administration) onayı alan en son üyesi doripenem monohidrat, 1 beta metil grubu içeren sentetik bir analogtur. Doripenem, di er karbapenemler gibi konsantrasyona de il, zamana ba ımlı bakterisidal etki gösterir. Gram pozitif bakterilere etkinli i imipeneme benzerlik gösterirken, Gram negatif bakterilere etkinli i ise meropeneme benzerdir.
Doripenem monohydrate, the last member of the carbapenem group obtaining FDA (Food and Drug Administration) approval in 2007, is a synthetic analogue including 1 beta methyl group. Doripenem, has a bactericidal effect based on time and not on concentration as the members of the carbapenem group. Whereas it effect on gram positive bacteria shows similarities with imipenem, its effect of gram negative bacteria is similar to that of meropenem. Its minimal inhibitor concentration (MIC) value with some certain bacteria such as P.aeruginosa is one delusion less than meropenem. Doripenem used in our country for indications complicated intra-abdominal infections, complicated urinary system infections, and in the treatment of nosocomial pneumonia including ventilator related pneumonia.
