| dc.description.abstract | Bu araştırmada ses eğitimi çalışmalarının İngilizce konuşma sorunlarının giderilmesindeki etkisi incelenmiştir. Çalışma grubunu, 2008-2009 öğretim yılı birinci döneminde, Erciyes Üniversitesi Fen-Edebiyat Fakültesi İngiliz Dili ve Edebiyatı Bölümü 2.Öğretim 1.sınıf öğrencilerinden, 14'ü deney ve 14'ü kontrol grubu olarak belirlenmiş 28 öğrenci oluşturmaktadır. Çalışma, Kontrol Gruplu ön test-son test deneysel desen modeline göre yapılmıştır. Deneysel süreç öncesinde çalışma grubunun alanında uzman kişiler tarafından, vokal ve işitsel muayeneleri tamamlanmış, öğrencilere Kişi Bilgi Formu uygulanmıştır. Araştırmada veri araçları olarak Konuşma (Sesletim) Sorunları Değerlendirme ve Ses Bozukluğu Skoru (Voice Handicap Index) Anket Formları uygulanmış, maksimum fonasyon süreleri kronometre ile ölçülmüş, sesin akustik özelliklerinin değerlendirilmesi için MDVP Advanced ve CSL Main programları kullanılmıştır. Deneysel süreç sonunda uygulanan ses eğitimi derslerine ilişkin öğrenci görüşleri alınmıştır. Elde edilen verilerin analizi SPSS 15.0 programı ile Shapiro-Wilk, bağımsız iki örneklem t testi ve bağımlı iki örneklem t testi kullanılarak yapılmıştır. Çalışma sonunda ses eğitimi çalışmalarının İngilizce konuşma sorunlarının giderilmesindeki etkisinin anlamlı olduğu, ses eğitiminin öğrencilerin sesli (vowel) ve sessiz (consonant) harflerindeki sesletim sorunlarının giderilmesinde kullanılabileceği, İngiliz Dilinde konuşma eğitimi gören öğrencilerin akustik ses özellikleri ve maksimum fonasyon süresi üzerinde olumlu katkılar sağladığı sonucuna varılmıştır. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | In this study, the effect of vocal training studies on resolving English speaking problems was investigated. In the study, participants included 28 freshman evening education students, 14 of whom were designated as experimental and 14 as control group, studying at the Department of English Language and Literature at Faculty of Arts and Sciences of Erciyes University during the fall term of 2008- 2009 academic year. The study is based on pre-test and post-test with the control group experimental design. İn prior to the experimantal process the participants of the experimantal group went through vocal and audial examinations by specialist in the field and filled out personal information forms. In this study, Speaking (Phonetic) Problem Evaluation Forms and Voice Handicap Index questionaire were used as data collection instruments, maximum phonation time was measured via a chronometre and MDVP Advanced and CSL Main Programmes were used to evaluate the aqustic features of the voice. At the end of the experimantal process, students? perceptions were gathered with regard to the voice training sessions. Data was analysed by using Shapiro-Wilk, The Independent Two-Sample T-Test, Paired T-Test through SPSS 15.0 program. It was revealed at the end of the study that the effect of voice training studies were significant in terms of solving the problems related to speaking English, voice training could be used to solve the student?s phonetic problems with vowel and consonant sounds and it possitively contibuted to do acoustic voice features and maximum phonation time for students? studying english language speaking. | en_US |
