Özet
Gün geçtikçe kalabalıklaşan dünyamızda artan ağız diş sağlığı tedavi ihtiyacı ile birlikte koruyucu diş hekimliği uygulamaları da hızla gelişmektedir. Restoratif diş tedavilerinin çeşitliliğine rağmen çocuklarda mikrobiyal dental plağa bağlı gelişen çürük ve periodontal hastalıkların önlenmesi tam olarak sağlanamamaktadır. Ağız ve diş sağlığı problemleri, ciddi ekonomik ve sosyal sorunları da beraberinde getirmektedir. Bu nedenle, ağız ve diş sağlığı bozulmadan önce, koruyucu ve önleyici uygulamalara öncelik tanınması önem taşımaktadır. Mevcut tedaviler ve yeni kullanılmaya başlanan malzemeler ile ilgili bilgilerinde sürekli güncellenmesi gerekmektedir. Bu derlemenin amacı pedodontide uygulanan son dönem koruyucu uygulamalara bir göz atmaktır.
Increasingly crowded world, along with the increasing need for oral health treatment and preventive dental therapies are developing rapidly. In spite of the variety of dental treatments, preventive measures become more important because of the fact that caries and periodontal diseases developing with microbial dental plaque can not be prevented in children. Oral and dental health problems imply serious economic and social problems. For that reason, preventive precautions should be taken before losing oral dental health and treatment services should be directed towards conservative methods. Current dental therapies and introduced new materials and related details need to be updated continuously. The aim of this review is to revise the current preventive dental treatment options.
