Özet
İstatistik, verilerin sistematik olarak toplanması, analiz edilmesi, sunulması ve bu verilerden bir sonuca varılabilmesi için kullanılan bilimsel yaklaşım olarak tanımlanabilir. Toplanan veriler, coğrafi bir alan oluşturursa, istatistiksel yüzey meydana gelir. İstatistiksel yüzeyi oluşturan verilerin doğruluğu kadar, bu verilerin görselleştirilmesinde tercih edilen tematik harita yapım yönteminin seçimi de, hayati önem taşımaktadır. Aynı veri farklı kullanıcılara, farklı anlamlar yüklenerek sunulabilir. Bu çalışma kapsamında, istatistiksel verinin görselleştirilmesinde kullanılan bazı tematik harita yapım yöntemleri incelenmiştir. Uygulama bölümünde ise, Türkiye?nin tahıl ambarı olarak kabul edilen Konya İli?ne ait, bazı tarım ve hayvancılığa yönelik istatistiksel veriler, tematik harita yapım yöntemleriyle (nokta işaretli, dasimetrik ve koroplet yöntemler) görselleştirilmiştir.
Statistics can be defined as a scientific approach that collects, analyses and presents data systematically in order to get a result from the data. If the collected data constitute a geographic region, a statistical surface becomes. The choice of thematic mapping methods preferred on visualization is essential important as well as the accuracy of the data that constitutes the statistical surface. The same data can be presented to different users by loading different meanings. In context of this study, some methods on thematic mapping that can be used for visuailzation of the statistical data were examined. In the application part of the study, some datas about agriculture and cattle-dealing in Konya (which is considered to be the cereal ware-house of Turkey) were visualized by the methods of thematic mapping (Dot Map, Dasymetric Map and Choropleth map).
