dc.description.abstractGöç sosyal bilimlerde birçok disiplinin kesiştiği bir kavramdır. Neredeyse insanoğlu kadar eski olan göç kavramı, aradan geçen binlerce yıla, ilerleyen teknoloji ve medeniyete rağmen varlığını sürdürmüştür. Bundan dolayı da akademik çalışmalar için ilgi çekici bir konu olmuştur. Sığınmacılık ise tanımlanması açısından, göç kavramına göre oldukça yeni bir kavramdır. Her iki kavram da zamanla uluslararası gündemin önemli maddeleri haline gelmişlerdir. Çalışmanın ana odağı, Brexit sürecinin nedenleri ve sonuçlarını İngiltere'deki göçmen ve sığınmacı akını bağlamında değerlendirerek; Brexit'ten sonra ortaya çıkan yeni göçmen politikalarını öncekilerle karşılaştırarak analiz etmek olmuştur. Bu noktada, göçmen ve sığınmacı haklarının uluslararası insan hakları hukukunda ve Avrupa Birliği hukukundaki yeri incelenmiştir. İngiltere özelinde, İngiltere iç siyaseti ve İngiltere – Avrupa Birliği ilişkileri üzerine, çalışmanın konusuyla ilgili bilgiler verilmiştir. Bu bilgiler; eleştirel realizm, dünya sistemi kuramı, mekânsal ayar ve transnasyonal göç teorisi gibi sosyal bilimlerin farklı disiplinlerinden alınmış kuramlar aracılığıyla analiz edilmiştir. Çalışmada İngiltere'nin Brexit sonrası oluşturulan göçmen ve sığınmacı politikalarını ekonomik, kültürel ve politik yönlerden ele alınmaktadır. Çalışmanın odağı İngiltere özelinde olup, Birleşik Krallık'taki diğer ülkelerin uyguladığı politikalar çalışmaya dâhil edilmemiştir. Çalışmada; İngiltere'nin geçmişte uyguladığı göçmen ve sığınmacı politikalarının, Brexit sonrası uygulananlara etkisi, AB'nin uyguladığı ortak göçmen politikaları ve bu uygulamaların Brexit ile ilişkisi, 11 Eylül ve 7 Temmuz saldırılarının İngiltere'nin göçmen ve sığınmacı politikalarına etkisi ve Brexit sonrası İngiltere'nin uyguladığı göçmen ve sığınmacı politikalarının ekonomik, hukuki ve sosyal analizleri yer almaktadır.
dc.description.abstractMigration is a concept that intersects with numerous disciplines within the social sciences. As old as humanity itself, the concept of migration has persisted despite thousands of years, advancing technology, and civilization. For this reason, it has become a fascinating topic for academic studies. Asylum, on the other hand, is a relatively newer concept in terms of its definition compared to migration. Both concepts have gradually become significant items on the international agenda. The primary focus of this study has been to evaluate the causes and consequences of the Brexit process in the context of migration and asylum flows in the UK, while analyzing the new migration policies introduced post-Brexit in comparison to the previous ones. In this regard, the status of migrant and asylum seeker rights within the framework of international human rights law and European Union law has been examined. Specifically concerning the UK, the study provides insights into the country's domestic politics and UK–EU relations relevant to the topic. These insights are analyzed through theories drawn from various disciplines within the social sciences, such as critical realism, world-systems theory, spatial adjustment, and transnational migration theory. This study examines the migration and asylum policies developed in the UK after Brexit from economic, cultural, and political perspectives. The focus of the study is specifically on England, excluding the policies implemented by other countries within the United Kingdom. The study explores the influence of England's historical migration and asylum policies on those implemented after Brexit, the relationship between the EU's common migration policies and Brexit, the impact of the September 11 and July 7 attacks on England's migration and asylum policies, and the economic, legal, and social analyses of migration and asylum policies implemented in the post-Brexit period.
