Duygusal zeka ile iletişim becerileri arasındaki ilişki: İktisadi ve idari bilimler fakültesi öğrencileri üzerinde bir araştırma

Özet
İletişim geçmişten günümüze insanın olduğu her alanda vardır. Ancak iletişim için sadece zekâ yeterli değildir. Çünkü iletişim sürecine soyut bir konu olan duygu dahil olduğunda daha karmaşık ve zaman alıcı olabilmektedir. Bu yüzden bireylerin karşı tarafın duygularını anlayarak kendilerini daha iyi ifade edebilmeleri duygusal zekâya bağlıdır. Duygusal zekâsı yüksek olan bireyler daha iyi iletişim kurabilmekte ve her alanda daha yüksek performans gösterebilmektedir. Bu çalışmanın amacı, Selçuk Üniversitesi İktisadi ve İdari Bilimler Fakültesi ile Akşehir İktisadi ve İdari Bilimler Fakültesinde öğrenim görmekte olan Maliye ve İşletme Bölümü öğrencilerinin duygusal zekâları ile iletişim becerileri arasındaki ilişkiyi araştırmaktır. Bu çalışmanın diğer amacı iktisadi ve idari bilimler fakültesi öğrencilerinin duygusal zekâ ile iletişim becerileri arasındaki farklılıkları cinsiyet, fakülte, sınıf düzeyi ve bölüm gibi çeşitli değişkenler açısından incelemektir. Çalışmanın örneklemi 2018-2019 eğitim ve öğretim yılında Selçuk Üniversitesi İktisadi ve İdari Bilimler Fakültesinde öğrenim görmekte olan 300 öğrenci ile Akşehir İktisadi ve İdari bilimler Fakültesinde öğrenim görmekte olan 200 öğrenci olmak üzere toplam 500 öğrenciye anket uygulaması yapılarak oluşturulmuştur. Hall tarafından geliştirilmiş ve Türkçe geçerlilik ve güvenilirliği Ergin tarafından yapılan "Duygusal Zekâ Değerlendirme Ölçeği'' ve Ersanlı ve Balcı tarafından geliştirilen "İletişim Becerileri Envanteri" ölçeği kullanılarak öğrencilerin duygusal zekâ ve iletişim becerileri arasındaki ilişki korelasyon ve regresyon analizleri yoluyla hesaplanmıştır. Bu çalışmanın sonucunda iktisadi ve idari bilimler fakültesi öğrencilerinin duygusal zekâları ile iletişim becerileri arasında anlamlı bir ilişki olduğu saptanmıştır. Ortaya çıkan sonuçlar doğrultusunda öneriler geliştirilmiştir.
Communication is exist in all areas of human beings from past to present. But, for communication only intelligence is not enough. Because when emotion get involve in communication, it can be more complex and time consuming. Therefore the ability of individuals to express themselves beter by understanding their feelings depends on emotional intelligence can communicate better and show higher performance in all areas.The purpose of this subject is researching the relationship between emotional intelligence and communication skills that belong to Finance and Business Students who study at Selçuk University Faculty of Economic and Administrative Units. Another aim of the study is to analyze the difference between communication ability and emotional intelligence of students study at Faculty of Economics and Administrative science considering various factor like their gender, faculty, classroom level and chapter. The sampling of this study is created in 2018- 2019 Education Year by using survey which to apply 300 students who study at Selçuk University Faculty of Economic and Administrative Unit and 200 studens who study at Faculty of Economic and Administrative Unit in Akşehir. 'Emotional İntelligence Assestment Scale' is developed by Hall and its suitabilty to Turkish and its reliability are tested by Ergin. And ' Communication Skills Inventory' that is used as a measure the relatioship between emotional intelligence and communication skills is developed by Ersanlı and Balcı. The relationship between emotional intelligence and communication skills are calculated using correlation and regression analysis. As a result of this study, it was determined that there is a relationship between the communication ability and emotional intelligence of students who study at Faculty of Economics and Administrative sciences. Suggestions are developed according to results that appear at the end of the study.
