Özet
Güneybatı Anadolu'dan yeni bir tür, Hesperis varolii A. Duran (Cruciferae, Brassicaceae) betimlenmiş ve resimlendirilmiştir. Bu tür Marmaris ve Köyceğiz (C2 Muğla) civarlarında serpantin eğimli çakıllı yerler, maki açıklıkları ve çalılık yerlerde yetişir. H. schischkinii Tzvelev and H. laciniata Ali. türlerine yakın benzerliği olan bu tür, güneybatı Anadolu için lokal endemiktir. H. varolii 'nin ayırt edici morfolojik karakterleri diğer iki tür ile karşılaştırılarak tartışıldı. Ayrıca onun kısa ekolojisi, biyocoğrafik durumu ve korunma statüsü verilmiştir. Ek olarak H. schischkinii ve H. laciniata türlerinin elekturon mikroskobunda polenleri ve tohum yüzeyi özellikleri incelenmiştir.
A new species, Hesperis varolii A. Duran sp. nov. (Cruciferae, Brassicaceae) is described and illustrated from southwest Anatolia, Turkey. The species grows in serpentine pebbly slopes, open machie and mixed scrubs in Marmaris and Köyceğiz (C2 Muğla province). It is closely related to H. schischkinii Tzvelev and H. laciniata All., an endemic confined to southwest Anatolia. Diagnostic morphological characters of H. varolii from the two species are discussed. Notes are also presented on its ecology, biogeography and conservation status. In addition, the pollen characteristics and seed coat surface of H. varolii and H. schischkinii are examined by SEM.
