Arkaik ve Klasik Dönem Batı Anadolu Plastik Hayvan Betimlemeleri

Tüm zamanlar boyunca insanoğlu, yaşadığı evrendeki alanını hayvanlarla paylaşmaktadır. Genel geçer yargıya göre merkezinde insan çağrıştıran bu ilişki; avlama, tüketme, evcilleştirme, besleme, çoğaltma, ulaşım ve spor aktivitelerinde kullanma amaçları doğrultusunda gerçekleştiği gibi sembolize etme, tapınma, koruma, onurlandırma/ kudretlendirme gibi manevi ve sanatsal hislerle de gerçekleşmiştir. Antikçağ içinde biyolojik varlıkları da kanıtlanan çoğu hayvan türü, başlarda duvar resimlerinde, ideogramlarda ve takip eden dönemlerde seramik, metal sanatlarda ve pek tabi plastik betimlerde sıklıkla yerini almıştır. Arkaik Dönem’den heykeltıraş kimliklerinin nispeten halen belirsizliği nedeniyle sanatsal etkileşim yönünden, Klasik Dönem’de sanatçı ve ekollerin netleşmesi ile kuvvetle muhtemel daha belirgin yönüyle incelenen Batı Anadolu, plastik hayvan betimleri açısından oldukça zengindir. Mysia, Lydia, Lycia ve Caria bölgelerinde yapılan bilimsel ve dijital çalışmalar ile Arkaik ve Klasik dönemlere ait plastik hayvan betimlemeleri, tüm detayları ile incelenip, ilk kez yayınlanan örnekler ve ilk kez denenen bakış açıları ile desteklenerek literatüre ışık tutması hedeflenmiştir.

Throughout all time, human beings share their space in the universe they live in with animals. According to the common law, this relationship, which evokes people in its center; hunting, consumption, domestication, feeding, reproduction, transportation and use in sports activities, as well as spiritual and artistic feelings such as symbolizing, worshiping, protecting, honoring / empowering. Most animal species, whose biological existence has been proven in antiquity, took their place in wall paintings, ideograms, and in the following periods, ceramics, metal arts and, of course, plastic depictions. Western Anatolia, which has been examined in terms of artistic interaction due to the relative uncertainty of the sculptor identities from the Archaic Period, and probably more prominently with the clarification of artists and schools in the Classical Period, is quite rich in terms of plastic animal depictions. Scientific and digital studies in Mysia, Lydia, Lycia and Caria regions and plastic animal depictions of the Archaic and Classical periods were examined in all details and supported by the first published examples and the perspectives that were tried for the first time, it was aimed to shed light on the literature.
