| dc.description.abstract | Eski Mezopotamya'da toplumun benimsediği din sistemi, yaşamın her alanında oldukça etkin bir rol oynamıştır. Mezopotamya insanı, inançları doğrultusunda yaptıkları her eylemi dini bir ritüel eşliğinde gerçekleştirmiştir. Tanrılara hizmet etmek için yaşadığına inanan bu toplum, kutsalla iletişime geçmek için dini ritüelleri bir araç olarak görmüştür. Bu bağlamda, Mezopotamya'da çok çeşitli dini ritüellerin uygulandığı tespit edilmiştir. Ortak amacı tanrıları memnun etmek ve onlardan talepte bulunabilmek olan ritüellerde, çok farklı amaçlarla kullanılan oldukça çeşitli objenin varlığından söz etmek mümkündür. Mezopotamya dini ritüellerinde kullanılan objelerin bazıları ritüellerin uygulanmasında temel nesne olarak aktif rol oynadıkları, bazılarının ise sadece uygulama sürecine yardımcı oldukları görülmüştür. Kült objeleri ve tanrı nesneler, bunların arasında en dikkat çekenleridir. Eski Mezopotamya din sistemine özgü bir özellik olan antropomorfik tanrı heykelleri, tüm dini ritüellerin bizzat kendilerine adanması sebebiyle ritüelde kullanılan en önemli objeler arasında yerlerini almışlardır. Bunun da ötesinde tanrı nesne olarak nitelendirilebilen bazı tanrılar, Eski Mezopotamya ritüellerinin temel elementini oluşturmaktaydılar. Bu çalışmada Eski Mezopotamya dini ritüellerinde kullanılan her türlü objenin kullanım şekli, amacı ve sembolize ettiği anlamın detaylı olarak incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Bu doğrultuda çalışma için döneme ait yazılı belgelerden, arkeolojik buluntulardan ve bugüne kadar yapılmış araştırmalardan faydalanılmıştır. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | Religious system embraced by the ancient Mesopotamian society had an important impact on every field of the life-style of this region. In the direction of their belief, Mesopotamians did every activity in company with religious rituals. Basing the entity of humanity on serving to the gods, this society perceived the religious rituals as a means of getting in contact with sacred. In this sense, the existence of a great variety of religious rituals has been determined. The common purpose of these rituals was to satisfy the gods and be able to demand things from them, and in these religious rituals, it is possible to mention a wide range of objects used for diversified aims. While some of the objects used in Mesopotamian religious rituals had active roles as basic objects, some existed as supplementary within the ritual process. Among them cultic and god objects are the ones that should be attached particular importance. Mesopotamian anthropomorphic god statues, which were idiosyncrasies of its contemporary religious systems, were the objects used as dedicatees in every religious ritual. Furthermore, some gods characterized as god objects were the essential elements of all the religious rituals. The purpose of the study is to examine the detailed usage, aim and symbols of every kind of objects used in ancient Mesopotamian religious rituals. Accordingly, in this study, it is benefited from the written records and archeological finds belonging to the designated period and the researches made on this subject. | en_US |
