Yeni toplumsal hareketler bağlamında feminist hareketlerin alternatif medya kullanımı

Özet
Alternatif medya, demokratik ortam sağlaması, ticari kaygı gütmemesi, eşitlikçi ve katılımcı özellikler taşıması gibi nedenlerle yeni toplumsal hareketler için yeni ve alternatif bir mecrayı kullanıma sunmaktadır. Ayrıca yapısı gereği alternatif medya, ana akım medyaya karşın; düşünce yapısı, ırk, cinsiyet, din fark etmeksizin birçok bireye özgür bir biçimde seslerini duyurma imkânı sağlamaktadır. Bu nedenle günümüzde "yeni" sıfatıyla anılan toplumsal hareketlerin bir parçası olan feminist hareketler de örgütlenme gibi temel faaliyetler için alternatif medyayı kullanmayı tercih etmektedirler. Bu çalışmada, yeni toplumsal hareketler bağlamında feminist hareketler irdelenmiş ve söz konusu feminist hareketlerin alternatif medyayı kullanım alanları incelenmiştir. Çalışmanın anahtar kavramlarını oluşturan; yeni toplumsal hareketler, feminist hareketler ve alternatif medyaya ilişkin bir literatür taraması gerçekleştirilmiştir. Literatür taraması sonucunda yeni toplumsal hareketler özelinde feminist örgütlenmelerin alternatif medya kullanımına ilişkin bulgulara yer verilmiştir. Yeni toplumsal hareketler bağlamında feminist hareketlerin alternatif medya kullanımına ilişkin bağlantıyı ortaya koyan alternatif medya kanallarını aktif olarak kullanan ve farklı feminist yaklaşımları benimseyen Uçan Süpürge Vakfı, Havle Kadın ve Kampüs Cadıları isimli feminist oluşumların "İstanbulSözleşmesiYaşatır" etiketiyle yaptıkları paylaşımlardaki söylemsel farklılıkları ortaya koymak çalışmanın amacını oluşturmaktadır. Dolayısıyla alternatif medya kanallarından biri olan Twitter üzerinden söz konusu paylaşımlar söylem analizi yöntemiyle incelenmiştir. Çalışmanın sonucunda ise; feminist oluşumların genel olarak ortak söylemler etrafında bir araya geldikleri belirlenmiştir. Söylemlerin büyük bir çoğunluğunu ise taleplerin oluşturduğu gözlemlenmiştir. Diğer taraftan ise söz konusu feminist oluşumların İstanbul Sözleşmesi bağlamında oluşturdukları söylemlerde zıt düşüncelerin yer almadığı sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.
Alternative media offers a new and alternative medium for new social movements, for reasons such as providing a democratic environment, not having commercial concerns, and having egalitarian and participatory characteristics. Also, due to its nature, alternative media, as opposed to mainstream media; provides the opportunity to make their voices heard freely, regardless of their mentality, race, gender, or religion. For this reason, feminist movements, which are part of the social movements known as "new" today, prefer to use alternative media for basic activities such as organization. In this study, feminist movements were examined in the context of new social movements, and the areas of use of alternative media by these feminist movements were examined. The key concepts of the study are; A literature review on new social movements, feminist movements, and alternative media has been carried out. As a result of the literature review, findings on the use of alternative media by feminist organizations in particular new social movements are included. In the context of new social movements, the Flying Broom Foundation, which actively uses alternative media channels that reveal the connection with the use of alternative media by feminist movements and adopts different feminist approaches, the feminist organizations named Havle Woman and Campus Witches constitute the aim of the study to reveal the discursive differences in the posts they make with the label "The Istanbul Convention Makes It Lives." Therefore, the aforementioned posts on Twitter, one of the alternative media channels, were analyzed using the discourse analysis method. As a result of the study; It has been determined that feminist formations generally come together around common discourses. It has been observed that the majority of the discourses are demanded. On the other hand, it was concluded that there are no contradictory thoughts in the discourses of these feminist organizations within the context of the Istanbul Convention.
