Özet
Lykaonia Bölgesi kaya mezar geleneğini değerlendirmek ve ortaya koymak için ?Lykaonia Bölgesi Kaya Mezarları? adlı tez konusunu ele alınırken sadece kaya mezarlarıyla kalmamış diğer mezar türleri alt ve üst gruplarıyla beraber değerlendirilmiştir. Arkeolojik verilerin ışığında Konya İli ve Çevresi'nde Hellenistik ve Roma Dönemleri'nde, yerleşim coğrafyası, sosyo-politik ve sosyo-kültürel yapı özelliklerinin farklı bir bakış açısıyla değerlendirilmesi yapılaraktan mezar kültürü, ölü gömme geleneği, siyasi ve coğrafi etkenler bir arada değerlendirilmiştir. Lykaonia, Anadolu'nun siyasi kültür ve tarihi içersinde hemen hemen şimdiki Konya sınırlarında yer almış bir toplumdur. Lykaonia adı ilk kez ilkçağ yazılı kaynaklarında bir bölge adı olarak geçrmektedir. Lykaonia isminin kökeni Hititler'e kadar gitmektedir. Bölge, antik çağda Lykaonia olarak geçmektedir.
We have studied Lycaonia Region and the Rock Grave traditions in this work. In addition to the rock tombs, other graves and tombs have been studied. Archaeological sources have been used to enlight the settlement geography, socio-political structure in Konya region in the Hellenistic and Roman periods. Furthermore grave and burial customs have been studied and analyzed according to political and geographical factors. Lycaonia was an important region which was located just about inside the modern Konya borders. Lycaonia was menioned as a regional name for the first time in an ancient written source. The name Lycaonia goes back to the age of the Hittites.
