dc.description.abstract | Organocatalysis and biocatalysis have emerged as new and powerful tools especially in asymmetric synthesis. This survey is focused to have an overview of calixarene based organo- and biomimetic catalysis. Calix[n]arenes constitute a fascinating class of macrocycles that have found a broad spectrum of applications in supramolecular chemistry and molecular recognition.
