Özet
Bu araştırmada; ?Çemberde Temel Kavramlar? konusunun, yapılandırmacı sınıf ortamında Grafik Hesap Makinesi kullanılarak öğretimi ile geleneksel yöntemle öğretimi arasında anlamlı bir fark olup olmadığı incelendi. Araştırma 2005-2006 öğretim yılında Mehmet Akif Ersoy Anadolu Lisesi 11.sınıf Fen şubelerinde toplam 126 öğrenci ile gerçekleştirildi. Başlangıçta öğrencilere 20 soruluk ön test uygulanarak, öğrencilerin araştırmanın başlangıcındaki durumları ölçüldü. Deney grubuna haftada 4 saat olmak üzere toplam 16 saat Grafik Hesap Makinesi ve destekleyici ders etkinlikleri ile öğretim yapıldı. Kontrol grubuna ise ders öğretmenleri tarafından geleneksel yöntemle öğretim yapıldı. Uygulama sonunda her iki gruba son test uygulandı. Test uygulamalarından hemen sonra öğrencilerle mülakatlar yapıldı. Deney ve kontrol gruplarının test sonuçları karşılaştırılarak aralarında manidar bir fark olup olmadığı incelendi. ki grubun başarı farklılığını karşılaştırmak için t-testi kullanıldı. Uygulanan testler ve görüşmeler sonunda elde edilen verilerin standart sapmaları, aritmetik ortalamaları, yüzdeleri hesaplandı. Ayrıca öğrencilerin Grafik Hesap Makinesi kullanımına karşı tutumlarını ve yapılan öğretimin yansımalarını tespit edebilmek amacıyla deney ve kontrol grubu öğrencilerine ?Durum Araştırması Anketi?, deney grubu öğrencilerine ?Ders Süreci Değerlendirme Anketi? uygulandı. Anketler sonunda öğrencilerin geometri derslerinde Bilgisayar, Grafik Hesap Makinesi gibi teknolojik araçlar kullanarak öğretim yapılmasını istedikleri tespit edildi. Araştırmanın sonucunda yapılandırmacı sınıf ortamında Grafik Hesap Makinesi kullanılarak öğretim yapılan deney grubu ile geleneksel öğretim yapılan kontrol grubu başarıları arasında 0,001 anlamlılık düzeyinde bir fark olduğu ve çemberde temel kavramlar konusunda, yapılandırmacı sınıf ortamında Grafik Hesap Makinesi kullanılarak öğretim yapılan grubun başarı düzeyinin, geleneksel yöntemle öğretim yapılan gruptan daha yüksek olduğu hesaplandı.
In this study, it has been examined teaching of the subject of ?Main Concepts of Circle?in within the constructivist classes by using Graphic Calculator and also wheter there is any significant difference between that teaching and teaching with traditional method. The study was performed with total 126 students from Grade11 Science branches of Mehmet Akif Ersoy Anadolu High School within 2005-2006 academic year. Initially the situations of student were measured at the beginning of research by using 20 pretest questions. Experiment group was instructed by Graphic Calculator and supporting course activities for16 hours in total with 4 hours a week. And control group was instructed by traditional method through course teacher. At the end of the practice, both groups were applied final test. Interview was perfomed with students just after the test practice. By comparing the test result of experiment group and test group, it was examined with descriptive statistical method that whether there is any significant difference between them or not. To compare achievement differences of both group t-test was used. Standard deviation, arithmetical means, percents of derived data were calculated at the end of the applied tests and interviews. Ans also ?Case Research Questionnaire? applied for experiment and control group students and ?Assessment Questionnaire of Course Process? was applied for control group students in order to determine reflections of education applied and students? attitudes towards Graph Calculator use. It was determined that thay wanted to be instructed using technological tools such as Graph Calculator, computers. At the end of the research, it was calculated in constructivist classes that there is difference of 0,001 significance level between experiment group instructed using Graph Calculator and control group instructed using traditional method, and that, in the constructivist classes, achievement level of group instructed using Graph Calculator on main concepts of circle was higher than the control group instructed using traditional method.
