Özet
Congenital heart disease constitutes the most common form of pediatric heart diseases. Interrupted aortic arch is a relatively rare entity. This condition which can be defined as absence of luminal continuity of aortic arch has been reported to be associated with a number of congenital heart diseases in the literature. The two most important diagnostic tools are echocardiography and conventional angiography. In recent years, magnetic resonance imaging has become the most important since magnetic resonance angiography (MRA) is noninvasive and has a superior diagnostic capability. We assessed a relatively rare interrupted aortic arch and accompanied aortic arch and cardiac abnormalities in a 14-day-old infant with cardiac MRI and MRA which are noninvasive and don't expose the patient to radiation and discussed their contribution to the diagnosis.
