Özet
Araştırmanın konusu, "Türk Süsleme Sanatı Tasarımlarında Yıldız Motifi" olarak belirlenmiştir. Zengin bir kültürel geçmişe sahip olan Anadolu'nun süsleme sanatlarında geometrik tasarımın yoğun olarak kullanıldığı bilinmektedir. Bu süslemelerden belki de en bilineni yıldız motifidir. Tez kapsamında ele alınan yıldız motifi; taş, metal ve ahşap işçiliğinde, çini ve seramiklerde, halı-kilim-kumaş-örgü-işleme gibi tekstiller uygulamalarında zengin bir çeşitlilik göstermiştir. Anadolu'nun geleneksel süslemelerinden yıldız motifini sembolik açıdan incelemek, geçmişten günümüze kullanım alanlarına tasarım perspektifinden bakmak geleneksel sanatlarımıza yeni yaklaşımlar kazandıracaktır. Bu bakımdan, tez dört ana bölümden oluşmaktadır. Giriş bölümünde; konunun tanımı, konunun amacı ve önemi, ilgili kaynaklar, süslemenin tanımı, yıldız motifinin tanımı ve ikonografisi hakkında bilgiler verilmiştir. Daha sonra, araştırmanın önemi, evren ve örneklem, veri toplama tekniği, veri analiz tekniği, kapsam ve sınırlılıklar ve sayıltılar, araştırmanın yönteminde sunulmuştur. Üçüncü bölümde; araştırma kapsamında tarihi süreç içerisinde "XII. Yüzyılda Anadolu'da İlk Türk Devletleri, Anadolu Selçuklu Dönemi, Beylikler Dönemi, Osmanlı Dönemi ve Günümüz Uygulamalarından Örnekler" alt başlıkları altında, yıldız motifi, görsel örnekler üzerinden açıklanmış ve sembolik özelliklerine değinilmiştir. Geleneksel yıldız motifi, taş, metal ve ahşap, çini-seramik ve tekstil (halı-kilim-kumaş-örgü-işleme) gibi uygulama alanlarındaki örnekler; tasarım, teknik, malzeme ve renk açısından incelenmiştir. İncelenen örneklerin tasarım özelliklerinin tarihsel süreçte geçirdiği değişim ve dönüşüm sonuç ve değerlendirme bölümünde tartışılmıştır. Türk Süsleme Sanatlarının sürdürülebilirliğini sağlaması açısından konu ile ilgili öneriler verilerek çalışma sonlandırılmıştır. Sonuç olarak, kadim değerlerimizden olan yıldız motifinin, tüm sanat disiplinlerinde zengin bir seçenek olduğu, her daim değerini koruduğu, estetik yönüyle gelecekte farklı tasarım anlayışıyla ilgi odağı olacağı açıktır.
The subject of this research is determined as "Star Motif in Turkish Decorative Art Designs". It is known that geometric design is used intensively in the decorative arts of Anatolia which has a rich cultural background. Perhaps the most known of these decorative motifs is the star motif. The star motif, which is studied in the scope of this thesis, showed a rich diversity by applications of stone, metal and woodwork, tile and ceramic samples, and carpet-rug-fabric-knitting-processing, in textile design. It became one of the important symbols of Anatolia. A symbolic approach to the star motif is one of the traditional ornaments of Anatolia; From the past to the present, from a design perspective to the use of new approaches in our traditional arts. In this context, the thesis consists of five main chapters. The introduction chapter gives the following information; the definition, the purpose and importance of the subject, related sources, definition of ornament, star motif and iconography. Then, the importance of research, data available and sampling, data collection technique, data analysis technique, scope and limitations and assumptions are presented in the research methodology. In the third chapter; within the scope of the research, star motif is explained through visual examples and their symbolic features are mentioned in reference to "XII. Century`s first Turk States in Anatolia, Anatolian Seljuk Period, Beylikler (Principalities) Period Ottoman Period and Examples from Today's Applications". Examples of application such as traditional star motif, stone, metal and wood, tile-ceramic and textile (carpet-rug-fabric-knitting-processing) have been examined in terms of design, technique, material and color. In order to ensure the sustainability of the Turkish Ornamental Arts, suggestions were given on the subject and the work was completed. Consequently, the study explains the historical process, the change and transformation of the design features of the observed samples. It is clearly seen that the star motif, which is one of our ancient values, is a rich feature in all art disciplines and has always maintained its value and it will be the center of attention with its aesthetics in the future.
