Akademik Teşvik Puan Analizi: Sağlık Yönetimi Bölümü Örneği

| dc.description.abstract | Amaç: Bu çalışmanın amacı, Selçuk Üniversitesi öğretim kadrolarında bulunan öğretim elemanlarının bir yıl içerisinde yapmış oldukları bilimsel yayınların akademik teşvik yönetmeliği kapsamında incelenmesi ve sağlık yönetimi bölümünün irdelenmesidir. Gereç ve Yöntem: Retrospektif bir çalışma olan bu araştırmada Selçuk Üniversitesi’nde görev yapan akademik personelin teşvik puanları, Selçuk Üniversitesi resmi web sitesinde yayınlanarak kamuoyuna sunulmuştur. Akademik puanlar Selçuk Üniversitesi resmi web sitesinde alınarak analiz edilmiştir. Araştırmanın örneklemini, akademik teşvik puanını 30 puan veya üzerinde alan akademisyenler oluşturmaktadır. Örneklem; 40 araştırma görevlisi, 43 öğretim görevlisi, 123 Dr. Öğretim Üyesi, 150 Doçent Doktor ve 295 Profesör kadrosundaki akademisyenlerden olmak üzere toplam 654 akademisyenden oluşmaktadır. Sağlık Yönetimi bölümünden akademik teşvik almaya hak kazanan öğretim elemanı sayısı beştir. Bunlar bir Profesör, 2 Doçent Doktor ve 2 Doktor Öğretim üyesinden oluşmaktadır. Araştırmada kullanılan veriler Selçuk Üniversitesi 2018 yılı akademik teşvik puanlarıdır. Bulgular: Yapılan analizde; Selçuk Üniversitesinin akademik teşvik puanı ortalaması 43,051 olarak bulunmuştur. Öğretim Görevlilerinin yaklaşık %33’ü fakültelerde görev yapmaktadır. Akademik teşvikten yararlanan 39 araştırma görevlisinden 3’ü Doktor unvanlıdır. 43 öğretim görevlisinden 2’si Dr. unvanı ile hizmet vermektedir. Dr. Öğretim Üyesi kadrosunda olan akademisyenlerin %11’i yüksekokullarda görev yapmaktadır. Doçent Dr. kadrosunda olan akademisyenlerin yalnızca 2’si yüksekokullarda görev yapmaktadır. Profesör kadrosunda olan akademisyenlerin yalnızca 3’ü yüksekokullarda görev yapmaktadır. Fakülteler arasında Profesör unvanı için en yüksek akademik teşvik puan ortalaması olan fakülte, 63,075 ortalama ile Turizm Fakültesi olarak bulunmuştur. Araştırma Görevlisi Unvanı için en yüksek puan Tıp Fakültesi’nde 61,5 olarak bulunmuştur. Sağlık Yönetimi Bölümü’nün akademik teşvik puan ortalaması ise 49,48 olarak bulunmuştur. Sağlık Yönetimi Bölümü’nün akademik teşvik puan ortalaması Üniversite genel puan ortalamasından yaklaşık 6,5 puan daha fazla olarak tespit edilmiştir. Sonuç: Araştırma sonucunda akademik personelin unvanlarına göre çalıştıkları departmanlar arasında kıyaslama yapılmıştır. Özellikle Sağlık Bilimleri Fakültesi bölümleri üzerinde durulmuş ve Sağlık Yönetimi Bölümü irdelenmiştir. Personel motivasyonunda ödüllendirmek her zaman çalışan verimliliğini artırmaktadır. Bir çeşit performans ödüllendirmesi olan, akademik teşvik modelinin akademisyenlerin üretkenliğini artıracağı düşünülmektedir. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | Objective: The aim of this study is to investigate the scientific publications of academic personnel who work in the institutions of state higher education within the year and to examine the health management departments. Materials and Methods: In this study, which is retrospective, the academic encouragements cores of academic personnel working in Selçuk University were published on the official website of Selçuk University and it was analyzed according to academic points that were taken from the official website of Selcuk University. The sample of the study was composed of academicians who got an academic encouragement score of 30 points or more. The sample consisted of 654 academicians with 40 research assistants, 43 lecturers, 123 assistant professors, 150 associate professors, and 295 professors. The number of faculty members who were suitable to get academic encouragement from the Department of Health Management was five. These consisted of one professor, two associate professors, and two assistant professors. The data used were that academic encouragement points for 2018. Findings: In the analysis which was done, the academic encouragement point of Selçuk University was found at 43,054. Approximately 33% of lecturers were working in the faculties. Three of 39 research assistants were Ph.D. Two of 43 lecturers were Ph.D. 11% of academicians who were assistant professors were working in high schools. Only 2 of the academicians were working in high schools. Only 3 of the academicians who were professors were working in high schools. The faculty, which was the highest academic encouragement point of the title of the professor, was found at the Faculty of Tourism with an average of 63,075. The highest score for the Research Assistant was found as 61.5 in the Faculty of Medicine. The mean of academic encouragement point of the Department of Health Management was found to be 49.48. The mean of academic encouragement point of the Department of Health Management was found higher than the average of the university average as nearly 6.5 points. Results: As a result of the research, the comparison among the departments of the academic personnel was made according to their titles. Especially, the departments of the Faculty of Health Sciences were pointed out and the Department of Health Management was examined. Employee motivation also increases employee productivity at all times. It is thought that the academic encouragement system, which is a kind of performance and rewarding system, will increase the productivity of academicians. | en_US |
