Özet
Kâşgarlı Mahmud’un Dîvânu Lugâti’t-Türk adlı eseri, Türkçenin Arapça karşısındaki
gücünü ortaya koymak amacıyla kaleme alınmıştır. Eser ansiklopedik bir sözlük özelliği
göstermektedir. Bu özelliği yanında eser, içerisinde yer alan şiirlerin ve kelimelerin
açıklamalarının yapılmasıyla da bir antoloji ve dilbilgisi kitabı olma özelliği taşımaktadır.
Türk toplulukları arasında dolaşarak eserini oluşturan Kâşgarlı Mahmud, gezip gördüğü
yerlerdeki gündelik yaşamla ilgili kültürel unsurları gözlemleyerek eserinde yer vermiştir. Bu
çalışmada, Türk edebiyatının şaheserlerinden biri olan Dîvânu Lugâti’t-Türk’teki geçiş
dönemleriyle ilgili terimler tespit edilerek aralarındaki anlam ilişkilerine göre sınıflandırılması
yapılmış ve çeşitli açılardan incelenmiştir.
Bu çalışmayla, eserde yer alan geçiş dönemleriyle ilgili inanç, ritüel ve uygulamaların
geçmişten günümüze varlığının iz sürümü yapılmıştır. Bu yönüyle çalışma, Türk kültürünün
devamlılığını göstermeyi amaçlamaktadır.
Kaşgarlı Mahmud's "Dîvânü Lügâti't-Türk" workis one of the masterpieces of Turkish literature. The workwas written in order to reveal the power of Turkish against Arabic. The workshows the feature of an encyclopedic dictionary. In addition to this feature, the work is an anthology with itspoems and explanations, also a grammar book with explanations of words in sentences. Kaşgarlı Mahmud, who created his work by wanderingamong Turkish communities, observed the culturalelements of daily life in the places that he visited and included them in his work. In this study, the termsrelated to the transitionperiods in Dîvânü Lügâti't-Türk, weredetermined and classifiedaccording to the relations of their meaning and examined from variousperspectives. Moreover, the existence of beliefs, rituals and practicesrelated to the transitionperiods in the work from past to present has been traced. With this aspect, the studyaims to show the continuity of Turkish culture.
