Her iki tümör genel anestezi şartlarında eksize edildi. Hasta postoperatif 2. günde oral beslenme alarak taburcu edildi.
A rare tumor of the newborn: Epulis Objective: Aim of this study was to present different concept on diagnosis and treatment of the epulis with a case. Case report: A newborn female infant was referred to our clinic for investigation of the gingival masses, which were obstructing feeding and respiration. There were two tumors on the upper jaw incisor and canin region, round 1.5 x 1.5 cm and 0.5 x 0.5 cm in diameter and covered by mucous membrane. Both of the tumors were excised under general anesthesia. The patient was discharged 2nd postoperative day receiving oral feedings. Pathologic evaluation of the tumor was "epulis". Conclusion: There was no relapse postoperative one year follow-up. Epulis is a benign tumor, surgical excision is necessary for the placement of preventing vital functions such as respiration and feeding, but it can be wanted for other localizations.
