Özet
Melankoli kavramı, eski çağlardan beri var olmuş ve her dönemin kendi gerçekliği
içinde, varlığını sürdürmeye devam etmiştir. Sanatçıların farklı anlatımlarıyla ve sanatsal
çalışmalarıyla izleyicinin karşısına çıkmaktadır. Melankolinin derin anlamı göz önünde
bulundurularak, geçmişten günümüze kadar geçen dönemlerdeki ifadesine değinilmektedir.
Arnold Böcklin'in eserlerinin yaratım sürecindeki ilham kaynağı ya da
kaynaklarının ne olduğu, melankoliyi eserlerine nasıl ve ne ölçüde yansıttığı
incelenmektedir. Bu kapsamda, sanatçının ölüm teması üzerinden ürettiği fantastik ve
mitolojik anlatımıyla oluşturduğu, melankolik eserlerindeki duygu durumları açıklanmış ve
yorumlanmıştır. Araştırmada diğer eserlerin temalarına dikkat edildiğinde, insanların
ruhsal halleri, iç dünyalarında yaşadıkları sessiz kaosları, hayatın karşısına çıkardığı
zorluklara karşı kendine ve dış dünyaya yabancılaşması durumunu incelemektedir.
Bu anlamda Batı resim sanatında örneklem olarak; Caspar David Friedrich, Jean
Baptiste Camille Corot, Joseph Mallord Mihayloviç Vasnetsov, Carlos Schwabe ve Türk
resim sanatında ise Nuri İyem, Komet(Gürkan Coşkun), Utku Varlık, Alaaddin Aksoy,
Neşe Erdok, Orhan Taylan, Ömer Kaleşi ve Aydın Ayan'ın resimleri seçilmiştir.
The concept of melancholy has existed since ancient times and has continued to exist in its own reality of each era. It is presented to the audience with different narratives and artistic works of artists. Considering the deep meaning of melancholy, its expression in the periods from the past to the present is touched upon. It is examined what is the source of inspiration or sources of Arnold Böcklin's works in the process of creation, how and to what extent he reflected melancholy in his works. In this context, the emotional states of melancholic works created by the artist with his fantastic and mythological narrative produced on the theme of death are explained and interpreted. Paying attention to the themes of other works in the research, it examines the state of people's moods, the quiet chaos they experience in their inner world, the alienation of themselves and the outside world from the difficulties they face in life, when they pay attention to the themes of other works. In this sense, the paintings of Caspar David Friedrich, Jean Baptiste Camille Corot, Joseph Mallord Mikhailovich Vasnetsov, Carlos Schwabe and Nuri Iyem, Komet (Gürkan Coşkun), Utku Varlık, Aladdin Aksoy, Neşe Erdok, Orhan Taylan, Omar Kaleşi and Aydın Ayan were selected as examples in Western painting art.
