Özet

Tourism Information System (TIS) is one of the application field of Geographic Information System that has been formed for tourism. The aim of this system is to manage the regions relevant to tourism, make decisions about future works, and provide accordance with Urban Information System (UIS) about this region at the following stages. The CPM (Critical Path Management) chart is similar to the PERT chart but includes an explicit indication of the "critical path" that sequence of tasks that defines the minimum amount of time for the project. In this study, activities has been represented by CPM-PERT method at the stage of setting TIS dependent on UIS constituted by local municipality in a touristic region that's population is less than 100 000. During the study the following operation steps such making decision, personal employment, research, constitution of automation, getting software, course, making protocol with other foundations, technical operations (map, Collecting etc.), importing datas, data grouping, data layer, data layer correlation, data updating, control, data layer update, associated data layer correlation, has been followed. Evolves of touristic regions with natural and historical features can observe orderly by Tourism Information System and thus destructive effects would be obstructed and planning processes belong to the region could be done better. Also it can be used for providing information for tourists about the region.
