Özet
Klasik Çağ'da, Konya ve Karaman'ı içine alan bölgeye Lykaonia denilmektedir. Lykaonia adının ise, Hititler dönemindeki Lukka'dan kaynaklandığı kabul edilir. Antik kaynaklarda Lykaonia'ya ilişkin olarak çok değişik sınır tanımlamaları verilmektedir. Bunun en önemli sebebi, bölgenin Dağlık Klikia'ya, İsauria, Pisidia ve Kappadokia gibi yönetilmesi güç bölgelerin merkezinde yer almış olmasıdır. MÖ I. binden günümüze kadar kesintisiz yerleşime sahne olan bölge Hellenistik Çağ'da "polis" şeklinde teşkilatlandırılmıştır. Bölge, MÖ 25 yılında Galatialı Amyntas'ın ölümü sonucu Roma tarafından Asia eyaletinin oluşturulmasıyla Roma egemenliğine girmiştir. Doktora tez çalışmamızın konusu, Türkiye'deki arkeoloji müzelerine bilimsel kazılarla veya satın alma ve müsadere yolu ile kazandırılmış, sikke teşhirinde sergilenen ve deposunda bulunan Antik Dönem'e ait Lykaonia sikkelerinin incelenmesidir. Lykaonia Bölgesi'nde sikke basan kentlerin, başlangıcından Roma Dönemi'ne kadar olan sikke gelişimi gözlemlenerek bölgede bulunan sikkelerin envanterleri yapılarak grafik verilere ulaşılmıştır. Bu veriler "Grek Sikkeleri" ve "Roma Sikkeleri" başlıkları altında toplanmıştır. Bu başlıklar altında verilen katalogların ardından sikkelere dair değerlendirme yapılmıştır. Bu bilgilerin bir araya getirilerek değerlendirilmesi sonucunda kentlerin darp etmiş oldukları sikkeler üzerinde betimlenen konuların yorumlanması ile o kent hakkında bilgi sahibi olunmuştur. Bu sikkeler Lykaonia Bölgesi üzerine ilerde yapılacak bilimsel araştırmalara katkı sağlaması açısından da önemli birer belge niteliğindedir.
In The Classical Age, it is called Lykaonia, which includes Konya and Karaman. Lykaonia is acceptable to have originated from Lukka during the Hittite period. In ancient sources, there are many different definitions of boundaries concerning Lykaonia. The most important reason for this is that the region is located in the center of the power-managed regions, such as Mountainous Cilicia, Isauria, Pisidia and Kappadokia. The region that has interruptedly been settled in since 1st century BC till today was organized as "police" in Hellenistic age. The region entered into the domination of Roma by being created of Asia State by Roma as the result of Amyntas from Galatia in 25 BC. The subject of our doctoral thesis study is to review the Ancient Period's Lykaonia coins which have been brought in archeological museum in Turkey via scientific excavations or purchasing or confiscation and also exhibited for coin display. The graphics data were reached by taking inventory of the coins in the region by observing the coin progress of cities in Lykaonia region from the beginning to Roma period. These data were collected under the titles of "Greek Coins" and "Roma Coins". Evaluations were performed on the coins after the catalogs given under these titles. After evaluating all these data, we are knowledgeable about the city by commenting the subjects represented on the coins minted by cities. These coins are accepted as significant records regarding the contribution for future scientific works about Lykaonia region.
