Hot Bituminous Mixtures are made by mixing the aggregate and bituminous binder at high convenient temperature. Performance of these mixtures is affected mainly by the aggregate types which constitute the main part of the mixture. Aggregate types, gradation, roughness, surface characteristics have effects on the fatigue and rut depth of the mixture. Deformation has occurred on the surface base under traffic loading. Materials used to build the pavement, construction methods and loading patterns are the main factors effecting pavement performance. There are many other factors effecting the pavement performance like binder type and content, fine and coarse aggregate type and content. When any factors mentioned here is not taken into consideration good enough then the yield will be less. It is possible to investigate the effect of each of these factors on the performance and durability of bituminous mixtures. In this work, the effect of Carboniferous-Triassic rock dust as a filler on the Marshall stabilities of HBM is investigated. Service life can be increased by the modification of mixture. Thus, the maintenance period can be reduced. Literature review has shown that the researches on modification of bituminous binder by chemical compound are more frequent then the modification of mixture. There are some researches about the effect of mineral filler on the properties of HBM like fatigue life and plastic deformation. Therefore, as bituminous researcher indicated new investigations conducted on the effect of mineral filler on the properties of mixture are under consideration.en_US
