Özet
Türkiye, güzel doğası, manevi iklimi ve tarihi mirası ulaşım sistemi ve şehirlerine özgü
benzersiz özellikleri ile dünya çapında öğrenciler için bir cazibe merkezi haline gelmiştir.
Coğrafi olarak Avrupa ve Asya arasında yer alan Türkiye manzarası çok çeşitli coğrafi bölgeleri
içerir; dünyanın üç kıtasının ortak özelliklerine sahiptir: Avrupa, Afrika ve Asya. Türkiye'nin
Afrika kıtası ile yüzyıllar öncesine dayanan köklü tarihi ve kültürel ilişkileri vardır. Son 10
yılda Afrika ile Türkiye arasındaki ilişkiler iyiye doğru gelişmektedir. Devlet ve özel burslarla
eğitim imkânları artarken, Türkiye ile Afrika ülkeleri arasında eğitim alanındaki işbirliği
olanakları artmaktadır. Gelişmelerin ışığında, Türkiye'deki Afrikalı öğrencilerin sayısı son
yılları önemli ölçüde artmaktadır.
Bu çalışmada, Konya’da okuyan Afrikalı öğrencilerin için kültürel adaptasyonunda
sosyal medyanın etkileri tartışmaktadır. Bununla birlikte iletişimin amacı, öğrencilerin ortak
eylemlerini koordine etmektir ve bu koordinasyon, kültürle de ilişkilendirilen karşılıklı iletişim
yoluyla sağlanmaktadır. Çalışmada nitel araştırma metodunu kullanmaktadır. Ayrıca
Konya'daki Afrikalı öğrencilerin bilgilendirme ve eğlenme amaçlı paylaşımlarıyla sosyal
medya üzerinde kültürlerini nasıl popülerleştirdikleri ve sosyal medyanın etkileri
tartışılmaktadır. Çalışmanın sonucuna göre Konya’daki Afrikalı öğrencilerin yaptığı
paylaşımlarla, sosyal medya üzerindeki önyargıları kırdığı görülmektedir. Aynı zamanda bu
öğrencilerin uyum süreçlerini başarılı geçirmek için yaptıkları çalışmalar ortaya konulmaktadır.
Turkey has become a center of attraction for students around the world with its beautiful nature, spiritual mosques and historical architecture, transportation system and unique features unique to its cities. Geographically located between Europe and Asia, the Turkish landscape includes a wide variety of geographic regions; it has the common features of the three continents of the world: Europe, Africa and Asia. Turkey has deep-rooted historical and cultural relations with the African continent dating back centuries. In the last 10 years, relations between Africa and Turkey have been increasing for the better. The education policy of Turkey and African countries is developing by increasing educational opportunities with different agreements such as government and private scholarships. However, the number of African students in Turkey has been increasing significantly in recent years. This study discusses the effects of social media on cultural adaptation for African students studying in Konya. According to this theory, the purpose of communication is to coordinate the joint actions of these students, and this coordination is achieved through mutual communication, which is also associated with culture. The study uses the qualitative research method. It also discusses how African students in Konya popularize their culture on social media and the effects of social media by sharing information and entertainment purposes. According to the results of the study, it seems that African students in Konya arrive to clarify prejudices on social media with their posts. At the same time, the different organization put in hand by these students in order to pass the adaptation process successfully are discussed.
