Fârâbî ve Thomas Aquinas felsefesinde tümeller

Tümeller konusu her büyük filozofun varlığa bakışının şekillenmesinde etkili olmuştur. Tümellerin incelenmesi konusunda felsefe tarihinde realizm, konseptüalizm ve nominalizm olmak üzere üç temel yaklaşım öne çıkmıştır. Giriş kısmında problemin kaynağını oluşturan Platon ve Aristoteles'in konuyla alakalı görüşlerine değinilmiştir. Çalışmamızın ana konusunu ise realizm ve konseptüalizm görüşleri arasında bir konuma sahip olan Farabi ve Thomas Aquinas'ın tümeller problemi ile alakalı görüşleri oluşturmaktadır. Problem, tümellerin epistemolojik ve ontolojik durumları merkeze alınarak incelenmiştir. Bu şekilde iki filozofun görüşleri arasındaki hem benzerlik ve farklılıkları hem de filozofların problem karşısındaki konumları tespit edilmeye çalışmıştır.

The subject of the universals was effective in shaping the view of every great philosopher to existence. In the history of philosophy, three basic approaches, realism, conceptualism and nominalism, came forward in the history of philosophy.In the introduction of study, the views of Plato and Aristotle, which constitute the source of the problem, are mentioned. The main subject of our study is the views related to the universals problem of Farabi and Thomas Aquinas, which have a position between the realism and conceptualism views. The problem was examined by taking epistemological and ontological states of the universals into the center. Therby the similarities and ditermined. Futher more this revelead us the position of the philosophers in the face of the problem.
