Özet
Bu çalışmada Türkiye'de yetişen Fumaria officinalis adlı bitkinin metanol ekstraktının antioksidan aktivite tayini ile toplam fenolik ve flavonoid madde miktarları tayin edildi. Antioksidan kapasite tayinleri demir ve bakır indirgeme gücü (FRAP ve KUPRAK), DPPH radikalini süpürme aktivitesi, ß-karoten-linoleik asid metodu ve metal şelatlama kapasitesi ile gerçekleştirildi. Ekstraktın toplam fenolik ve flavonoid madde miktarları sırasıyla gallik asit ve kuersetine eşdeğer olarak bulundu. 1 g metanolik ekstrakt 250 mg gallik asite eşdeğer fenolik ve 200 mg kuersetine eşdeğer flavonoid madde ihtiva ederek yüksek antioksidan aktivite gösterdi. Bununla birlikte bu çalışmada Fumaria officinalis in fenoliklerinin ve yağ asidi bileşiminin tayini sıvı ve gaz kromatografisi ile gerçekleştirildi. Sonuçlar gösterdi ki Türkiye'de yetişen Fumaria officinalis doğal bir antioksidan madde kaynağıdır.
In this study, we investigated the antioxidant capacity and total phenolic and flavonoid contents of methanolic extract of Fumaria officinalis from Turkey. The antioxidant capacity of the methanolic extract from Fumaria officinalis leaves was measured by various assays including ferric reducing antioxidant power assay, cupric reducing antioxidant capacity assay, DPPH radical scavenging, ß-caroten-linoleic acid assay and metal chelating capacity. Total phenolic and flavonoid content of the extract were measured as gallic acid and quercetin equivalent by Folin?Ciocalteu reagent and aluminium chelating method, respectively. The methanolic extract showed higher antioxidant activity related to high phenolic content with 250 mg GAE and falvonoid content with 200 mg QE/g dry weight. Phenolics and fatty acid compositions of the methanolic extract of Fumaria officinalis were analysed by high performance liquid and gas chromotography. Data suggested that Fumaria officinalis grown in Turkey may be importance source as natural antioxidant.
