dc.description.abstractKimlik, tanımlanması zor, kullanım alanı geniş ve çok boyutlu bir kavramı temsil etmektedir. Bu çalışmada Fırat Mollaer’e ait Kimlik, Tanınma Mücadelesi ve Şarkiyatçılık kitabı analiz edilmiştir. Mollaer, kimlik konusunu tanınma mücadelesi bağlamında ele almış ve Edward Said’in şarkiyatçılık çalışmalarından hareketle bu mücadele biçimini şarkiyatçılıkla ilişkilendirmiştir. Böylece kimlik konusunu alışılagelmiş ele alış biçimlerinden farklı olarak eserine konu edinmiştir. Ayrıca kitapta kimliğin farklılıklarla birlikte kendini nasıl inşa ettiği hususu farklı politika biçimleriyle açıklanmış ve bu sayede kimlik olgusu sadece bir kavramsal olarak değil aynı zamanda bir politika biçimi olarak da incelemeye tabi tutulmuştur. Bu anlamda eserde kimliğin tarihsel, sosyal ve felsefi olarak farklı boyutlarıyla ele alınması, ilerde bu konu ile ilgili yapılacak çalışmalara da çok boyutlu bir yaklaşım kazandırması açısından ilham vermesi muhtemeldir.en_US
dc.description.abstractIdentity is described as a multidimensional, wide-ranging and difficult to define concept. In this paper, the book Kimlik, Tanınma Mücadelesi ve Şarkiyatçılık (Identity, Struggle for Recognition and Orientalism) belonging to Fırat Mollaer was analysed. Mollaer addressed the issue of identity in the context of the struggle for recognition. Besides, he related this form of struggle with Orientalism, based on Edward Said's studies on it. Thus, identity became the subject of his study different from the conventional ways of handling it. Moreover, in the book, the issue of how identity constructs itself with dissimilarities is explained in different forms of policy. In this way, the phenomenon of identity has been subjected to scrutiny not only as a conceptual but also as a form of policy. In this sense, it is likely that the identity in the work will be handled with different dimensions historically, socially and philosophically and will inspire the studies to be carried out on this subject in the future in terms of providing a multidimensional approach.en_US
