Abstract
Çalısma, Türkiye'deki üniversitelerde çalısan arastırma görevlilerinin iletisim doyumu ve is doyumu düzeylerini, bu düzeylerin demografik degiskenlerle iliskisini ve iletisim doyumu ve is doyumu kavramlarının birbirleriyle olan iliskisini kamu ve vakıf üniversiteleri açısından karsılastırmalı olarak ortaya koymayı amaçlamaktadır. Kamu ve vakıf üniversite yönetimlerine arastırma görevlilerinin sahip oldukları iletisim doyumu ve is doyumu düzeylerinin yükseltilmesine yönelik öneriler getirmektedir. Çalısma üçü teorik, ikisi de saha arastırması sonuçlarının degerlendirildigi bölüm olmak üzere toplam bes bölümden olusmaktadır. Saha arastırması 16'sı kamu, 13'ü de vakıf olmak toplam 29 üniversitede çalısan 1322 arastırması görevlisine anket formalarının elektronik posta aracılıgıyla gönderilmesi yoluyla uygulanmıstır. Verilerin girisi ve çözümlenmesi SPSS 13.0 istatistik programıyla gerçeklestirilmistir. letisim doyumunu ölçmek için Downs ve Hazen'in (1977) letisim Doyumu Anketi (Communication Satisfaction Questionnaire) ve is doyumunu ölçmek için de Spector'ın (1997) s Doyumu Arastırması (Job Satisfaction Survey) kullanılmıstır. Elde edilen bulgulara göre kamu üniversiteleri örneklemlerinde yer alan arastırma görevlileri ?orta? düzeyde iletisim doyum düzeyine sahipken, vakıf üniversitelerinde çalısan arastırma görevlileri ise ?yüksek? düzeyde iletisim doyumuna sahiptirler. Vakıf üniversiteleri lehine görülen bu farklılık istatistiksel olarak anlamlıdır. Vakıf üniversitelerindeki arastırma görevlileri ?orta? düzeyde is tatminine sahipken, kamu örnekleminde yer alan arastırma görevlileri ise ?düsük? düzeyde is tatminine sahiptir. Tıpkı iletisim doyum düzeyinde oldugu gibi Vakıf üniversiteleri lehine görülen bu farklılık da istatistiksel olarak anlamlıdır. Ayrıca iletisim doyumuyla is tatmini arasında yüksek düzeyde korelasyon bulunmustur.
This study has aimed to determine communication satisfaction and job satisfaction degrees of the research assistants who are working in Turkish universities, relations between these degrees and demographics variables, and relations between communication satisfaction and job satisfaction in a comparative framework in terms of public and private universities. It also informs the university administrations on the communication satisfaction and job satisfaction degrees of research assistants and gives suggestions to enhance those degrees. The study consists of five chapters. First three chapters deal with theoretical framework and the last two include findings and conclusions about field study. Field study has been performed by sending questionnaires to 1,322 research assistants from 29 universities (16 public and 13 private) via e-mail. For entering and processing data SPSS 13.0 statistical program has been used. To measure the communication satisfaction Downs and Hazen?s (1977) ?Communication Satisfaction Questionnaire? was preferred when Spector?s (1997) ?Job Satisfaction Survey? was chosen to measure job satisfaction. Findings indicate that while the sample from public universities have ?avarage? degree of communication satisfaction, the sample from private universities have ?high? degree of communication satisfaction. It also shows that the difference is significant. Same significance exists in the difference between the ?low? job satisfaction degree of the sample from the public universities and the ?average? degree of the private universities. Lastly, it has been found that there is significantly high correlation between communication satisfaction and job satisfaction
