Tüketim Kültürü ve Çevre Kirliliğinin Çağdaş Sanata Yansımaları

Savaşlar ve teknolojinin getirdiği yeniliklerle insanların depresif bir tavır sergilemesi ve çağın sürekli değişmesi üzerine yeniliklere ayak uydurma takıntısı ile insanoğlu tüketime yönelmektedir. Kökleri daha öncelere dayansa da özellikle 1950’li yıllarda görülen tüketim ve buna bağlı olarak artan çevre kirliliği temaları sanat eserlerinde sıkça karşımıza çıkmaktadır. Hızlı bir şekilde gerçekleşen üretim ve tüketim sonucu doğanın zarar görmesi üzerine toplumun dikkatini çekmek ve yetkilileri önlem almaya yöneltmek amacıyla sanatçılar konuya yönelik duyarlılıklarını göstermektedirler. Sanatçılar, hazır nesnelerin yoğun olarak tüketildiği bu dönemde üretim ve tüketim sürecinde oluşan çevre kirliliğine olan tepkilerini eserlerine yansıtarak tepkilerini ortaya koymuşlardır. Tüketim Kültürü ve Çevre Kirliliğinin Çağdaş Sanata Yansımaları konulu yüksek lisans tez çalışması kapsamında, üretim, tüketim ve çevre kirliliği zincirinin nasıl oluştuğunu belirlemek, bu kavramların çağdaş sanatta ne zaman ortaya çıktığını tespit etmek ve bu bağlamda eser veren sanatçıların konuyu hangi açıdan ele aldıklarını araştırıp, inceleyerek ortaya koymak amaçlanmıştır. Yapılan bu araştırma, sanat tarihi literatürüne katkı sağlaması bakımından önemli bulunmuştur. Çalışmada nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden literatür taraması yapılmış kitap, dergi, basılı kaynakların yanı sıra internet üzerinden de sanal kaynaklara ulaşılmıştır. Uygun metinler ve görseller toplanmıştır. Konuyla ilgili bildiri, makale ve ulusal/uluslararası sanal ortamlarda araştırma yapılmıştır. Araştırma kapsamında incelenen sanatçılardan Ghizlane Sahli, James Rosenquist, Marisa Merz, Jannis Kounellis, Mario Merz, Barbara Kruger, Claes Oldenburg John Dahlsen, Chris Jordan, Ellen Gallagher, Dianna Cohen, Alain Bellino, Gabriel Kuri, Max Liboiron, Jane Perkins, Alejandro Durán,Gilles Cenazandotti, İbrahim Mahama, Serge Attukwei Clottey ve Deniz Sağdıç; tüketim kültürü ve çevre kirliliği konularına tepkilerini kendilerine has üslup ve yöntemlerle eserlerine yansıttıkları görülmüştür. Artists show their sensitivity to the subject in order to attract the attention of the society and to direct the authorities to take precautions on the damage to nature as a result of rapid production and consumption. In this period when readymade objects were consumed intensively, the artists showed their reactions to the environmental pollution that occurred during the production and consumption process by reflecting on their works. Within the scope of the master's thesis on the Reflections of Consumption Culture and Environmental Pollution on Contemporary Art, to determine how the chain of production, consumption and environmental pollution is formed, to determine when these concepts emerge in contemporary art, and by researching and examining from which perspective the artists who work in this context approach the subject. intended to demonstrate. In the study, literature review was made from qualitative research methods, and besides books, journals and printed sources, virtual sources were also accessed on the internet.
