Özet
Legends have got a special place in the folk expressions. These expressions which are anonymous, short and in the form of a prose, attract listeners to the magical world of the expression with the goal of giving the listener the main idea of the expressions in a short and concise way. Among legends, the ones based on the meaning making of words are salient. For example, a legend tries to demonstrate that the word "Mugla" derives from the word of "mola". Also, it would be seen that we have reached legends via word groups. For example, when it tries to explain the world of "Konya", it divides that word into two as "kon" and "-ya" (a verb and a conjunction) and then it ends up the word of "Konya" in the end of the story. Of course, it will be based on a story in the world of expressions. We sometimes reach words after legend and legends are based on a world that exists before the legends as constructed as fictions. In this article, the relationship between words and narrative will be discussed in detail and will be analyzed
