| dc.description.abstract | Amaç: Çalışma diş hekimliği öğrencilerinin el hijyeni inanç skalası ve el hijyeni uygulama envanterine verdikleri yanıtları ve etkileyen faktörleri değerlendirmeyi hedeflemektedir. Gereç ve Yöntemler: Araştırma 2019-2020 eğitim-öğretim döneminde Akdeniz Üniversitesi Diş Hekimliği Fakültesi’nde dördüncü ve beşinci sınıf öğrencileri ile birlikte yürütülen kesitsel nitelikte bir çalışmadır. Öğrenci sayısı 112’dir. Öğrencilere el hijyeni inanç skalası ve el hijyeni uygulama envanteri uygulanmıştır. İstatistiksel analizlerde farklılığın bulunması için t – test uygulanmıştır. Bulgular: Çalışmaya katılan öğrencilerin %53,6’sı kadın, %50’si beşinci sınıf öğrencisidir. El hijyeni inanç ölçeğinden kadın ve erkek öğrencilerin aldıkları ortalama puanlar açısından istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir farklılık bulunmuştur. Benzer şekilde sınıf farklılığı ve kayıttan önce diş hekimine gitme ve gitmeme alışkanlığı el hijyeni envanterinden alınan puanı etkilemektedir. Sonuç: Diş hekimliği öğrencilerinin çoğunun el hijyeni inanç skalası ve el hijyeni uyum skalasından aldıkları puanlar ortalamanın üzerinde olmakla birlikte, düşük puan alan öğrencilerin olduğu da dikkat çekmektedir. Bu alana ilişkin derslerin eklenmesi ve öğrencilerin izlenmesi enfeksiyonların önlenmesi için önemlidir. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | Background: This study aims to evaluate the dental students' responses to the hand hygiene belief scale and hand hygiene practice inventory and the factors affecting them. Methods: This is a cross-sectional study conducted with the fourth and fifth-grade students in the Akdeniz University Faculty of Dentistry in 2019-2020 academic years. The number of students is 112. Hand hygiene belief scale and hand hygiene practice inventory were applied to the students. T-test was used to find differences in statistical analysis. Results: 53.6% of the students were female, and 50% were fifth-grade students. A statistically significant difference was found between and the mean scores of male and female students in the hand hygiene belief scale. Similarly, the study year and the habit of not going to the dentist before faculty enrollment affects the scores obtained from the hand hygiene inventory. Conclusion: Although the scores of most dentistry students on the hand hygiene belief inventory and hand hygiene practice inventory are above the average, it is also noteworthy that there are students with low scores. Adding courses and monitoring students in this area are essential for preventing infections | en_US |
