dc.description.abstractFibrous dysplasia is an a developmental benign anomaly of the bone which originates mesenchymal cells. It has an unknown origin. Three types were defined. Monostotic fibrous dysplasia is the most frequent form approximately 70% of all cases. It’s seen in adoscelent ages and calms down when the bone growth ends. Multifocal fibrous dysplasia which is seen with endocrine diseases are about of 3-5% of all cases. In this study we aimed to present two cases of monostotic fibrous dysplasia after completion bone growth. We performed enbloc resection of the rib for the purpose of diagnosis and treatment. © 2012, Derman Medical Publishing. All rights reserved.en_US
