Özet
Bu çalışma 1990'lar sonrası kalkınma literatüründe etkili olan ve postmodern ve postyapısalcı kuramlardan yararlanarak kalkınmayı bir söylem olarak okuyan post kalkınmacılığı temel araştırma sorunsalı olarak saptamıştır. Bu bağlamda, kalkınmayı yapı çözüme uğratmak amacıyla, post kalkınmacılığın ortaya koyduğu temel argümanlar ve post kalkınmacılığa yönelik eleştiriler dile getirilmiştir. Tüm bir kalkınma söylemini eleştiren post kalkınmacılar evrenselci kalkınma politikalarını reddederek yerel ve geleneksel öğeleri ön plana çıkarmışlardır. Tez çerçevesinde kalkınma kavramının tarihsel kökleri ve gelişiminin yanı sıra başta modernleşme ve bağımlılık kuramları olmak üzere kalkınma literatüründe belirleyici olan diğer yaklaşımlar da araştırılmıştır.
In this study, postdevelopment, which has become influential in the development literature after the 1990?s and has approached the development as a discourse by drawing from postmodern and poststructuralist theories, is selected as the main research question. In this context, in the aim of deconstructing the development, the main arguments of postdevelopment and critiques targeting postdevelopment are specified. Postdevelopment theory, as a critique on the whole development discourse, has brought traditional and local factors into the forefront by rejecting universalist development policies. In the framework of this thesis, primarily modernization and dependency theories, several approaches, which are influential in development literature are examined, as are the historical roots and the evolution of the concept of development.
