Özet
Bu araştırmanın amacı, kavram haritaları ile yapılan kavramsal öğretimin öğrencilerin başarısına etkisini araştırmaktır. Bu amacı gerçekleştirmek için bitkilerde taşıma sistemi konusu seçilmiş ve kavram haritalarının başarıya etkisi izlenmiştir. Araştırmanın örneklem grubu 2006?2007 eğitim-öğretim yılında Anamur Anadolu Lisesi 10. sınıfa devam eden rasgele seçilmiş 70 öğrenciden oluşmuştur. Bu öğrencilerden 35'i kontrol, 35'i deney grubu olarak ayrılmıştır. Deney grubuna kavram haritaları kullanılarak, kontrol grubunda ise geleneksel öğretim yöntemi kullanılarak konu işlenmiştir. Gruplar arasındaki farklılığı tespit etmek için biyoloji başarı testi uygulamadan önce ve sonra gruplara ön test ve son test olarak uygulanmıştır. Testten elde edilen bulgular SPSS programı kullanılarak saptanmıştır. Verilerin analizi sonucu kavram haritaları yaklaşımının başarıyı, geleneksel öğretime kıyasla anlamlı bir şekilde artırdığı gözlenmiştir.
The aim of this research is to examine the affect of conceptional learning by Concept maps on students success. In order to realize this goal ?Transport Systems in Plants? subject is chosen and its affect on success is cualuated. The experimental group of this research was constitued of random 70 of 10.th grade students of Anamur Anadolu Lisesi in 2006?2007 Education Period. 35 of these students were chosen as control group and the other 35 of them were chosen as experimental group. The control group was taught by traditional Teaching methods and the experimental group were taught by using Concept maps. Biology success test was applied to both group before and after teaching. The indications of the tests were determined by SPSS program. The analysis results showed that Concept map approach increased success significantly more than traditional teaching methods.
