| dc.description.abstract | Bu çalışma, maksimal bir aerobik test olan 20 metre mekik koşu testinin bayan sporcularda oksidatif stres ve antioksidan düzeyleri üzerine etkilerinin araştırılması amacıyla yapılmıştır. Çalışmamıza Beden Eğitimi Bölümü'nde okuyan 18-24 yaş aralığına sahip 10 sedanter ve aynı takımda oynayan, düzenli olarak aynı antremanı yapan 10 voleybolcu olmak üzere toplam 20 bayan gönüllü katılmış, sporcu ve kontrol grubu olmak üzere 2 gruba ayrılmışlardır. Bu çalışmada, sporcu ve kontrol grubuna bir defa olmak üzere kardiyorespiratuar verimliliği ve aerobik kapasiteleri gösteren testlerden biri olan 20 metre mekik koşu testi uygulanmıştır. Test öncesi ve testten hemen sonra deneklerden kan örnekleri alınmış ve alınan kan örneklerinde oksidatif stres göstergesi olarak Malondialdehit (MDA) ve antioksidan gösterge olarak Glutatyon (GSH) ve Katalaz (CAT) düzeyleri incelenmiştir. Elde edilen veriler ışığında, her iki grupta test sonrası MDA düzeylerinde istatistiksel olarak anlamlı artış saptanmıştır. (p<0.001) GSH ve CAT düzeyleri ise her iki grupta da test sonrası sırasıyla (p<0.05) ve (p<0.001) anlamlı derecede düşüktür. Gerçekleştirdiğimiz çalışmada, elde edilen bulgular değerlendirildiğinde hem spor yapan genç bayanlarda hem de sedanterlerde mekik koşu testinin serbest radikal üretimini uyardığını ve aynı zamanda antioksidan aktiviteyi ise baskıladığını göstermektedir. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | The aim of this study is to evaluate the effects of oxidative stress and levels of plasma antioxidants in female volleyball players in response to 20 meter shuttle run test. The study included 10 female volleyball players and 10 sedentary subjects, in the range of 18-24 years of age. Blood samples were taken before and immediately after the test. We have investigated the changes in the activities of antioxidant enzymes - reduced glutathione (GSH), catalase (CAT) ? and malondialdehyde (MDA) as a lipid peroxidation marker in plasma of all subjects. After the test, plasma levels of MDA were increased (p<0.001) in all subjects and plasma GSH and CAT enzymes levels were found significantly lower than the resting values in both groups (p<0.05) and (p<0.001) respectively. Findings of our study demonstrate that in both female groups 20 meter shuttle run test leads to production of more reactive oxygen species than the antioxidant systems can scavenge, it seems that the vulnerability of the body to oxidative stress is significantly enhanced after strenuous exercise test | en_US |
