Angiosarcomas are malignant tumors, which originate from the vessel endothelium and resemble the vessel structure. Stewart- Treves syndrome is an angiosarcoma which in general, develops in female patients after mastectomy and axillary lymph node dissection and is associated with chronic lymphedema. The prognosis of this rare complication is very poor. We present the case of a 52-year-old female who had undergone mastectomy due to breast cancer and 13 years later required shoulder disarticulation due to Stewart-Treves syndrome. © OMSB, 2014.en_US
