Özet
Amaç: Çalışmada, ebelik ve hemşirelik öğrencilerinin öz-duyarlılık ve merhamet düzeylerinin, etkileyen faktörlerin ve öz-duyarlılığın merhamet üzerine yordayıcılığının belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır.
Yöntem: Araştırma tanımlayıcı ve ilişki arayıcı tipte, Konya ilinde yer alan vakıf üniversitelerinden birinde Sağlık Bilimleri Yüksekokulu Ebelik ve Hemşirelik bölümünde okuyan 423 öğrenci ile yapılmıştır. Araştırmada sosyo-demografik soruları içeren anket formu, öz-duyarlılık ölçeği ve merhamet ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Anket formları öğrencilere yüz yüze doldurtulmuştur.
Bulgular: Öğrencilerin %61’i orta düzeyde öz-duyarlılık bildirirken, Merhamet Ölçeği puan ortalamaları 90.67±16.70 olarak bulundu.
Aim: In the study, it was aimed to determine the self-compassion and compassion levels of midwifery and nursing students, the factors affecting them, and the predictor of self-compassion on compassion. Method: The research was conducted in a descriptive and relationship-seeking type with 423 students studying at the Department of Midwifery and Nurse at the School of Health Sciences in one of the foundation universities in Konya. A questionnaire containing socio-demographic questions, self-compassion scale and compassion scale were used in the research. Questionnaire forms were filled in face to face with the students. Results: While 61% of the students reported moderate self-compassion, the mean score of the Compassion Scale was found to be 90.67±16.70. Self-compassion scale; family type, place of residence and parental attitude were found to be statistically different in the groups, while the total score of the compassion scale was found to be statistically different between all groups except for willingly preferring the part. Self-compassion scale scores of midwife and nurse students explained 9.6% of the total variance of compassion scale scores (R=0.309, R2=0.096, p<.00). Conclusion: In the study; It was found that self-compassion predicted compassion to a small extent, while compassion increased moderately while self-compassion increased. It is necessary to create, develop and increase environments that improve self-compassion and compassion levels during undergraduate education.
