| dc.description.abstract | Endodontically treated teeth (ETT) are fragile compared to vital teeth. Thereason for the decrease in fracture resistance and hardness is related to thedeterioration of the structural integrity as a result of caries, trauma andcavity preparation. Restorations in endodontically treated teeth are appliedconsidering the remaining tooth structure and functional status. For manyyears, post core systems that require additional preparation in the rootcanal, as well as the loss of most of the coronal tooth structures, are usedfor the final restoration of endodontically treated teeth. Endocrowns aremonoblock restorations that attach to the pulp chamber and its walls,providing macro-mechanical and cementation with micro-mechanics, thusrequiring no additional preparation. The first study written on ceramicendocrown was published in 1995. In this study, it is defined as a ceramicmonoblock production technique for the restoration of endodonticallytreated teeth. This procedure was later named "endocrown" in 1999. | |
| dc.description.abstract | Endodontik tedavi görmüş dişler vital dişlere göre daha kırılgandır. Kırılma direnci ve sertliğindeki azalma, çürük, travma ve kavite preparasyonuna bağlı olarak yapısal bütünlüğün bozulması ile ilişkilidir. Endodontik tedavi görmüş dişlere restorasyon uygulanmadan önce kalan diş yapısı ve fonksiyonel durum göz önünde bulundurulur. Uzun yıllardır endodontik tedavi görmüş dişler, ek kök kanal hazırlığı ve koronal diş yapılarının çoğunun çıkarılmasını gerektiren post-kor sistemleriyle restore edilmiştir. Endokronlar, pulpa odasına ve duvarlarına bağlanan, makromekanik ve mikromekanik destek sağlayan, dolayısıyla ek bir hazırlık gerektirmeyen monoblok restorasyonlardır. Seramik endokron üzerine yazılan ilk çalışma1995 yılında yayınlanmıştır. Bu çalışmada endokronlar, endodontik tedavi görmüş dişlerin restorasyonu için seramik monoblok üretim tekniği olarak tanımlanmıştır. Bu prosedür daha sonra 1999'da "endokron" olarak adlandırılmıştır. | |
