This research was carried out to determine effects of different manganese fertilizers (MS; MnSO4.3H2O, 27 % Mn and ME; Mn-EDTA, 12 % Mn) and their doses (0, 6, 9, 12 mg Mn kg-1 and 0, 0.2, 0.3, 0.4 %) applied to soil and leaf on some macro (N, P, K, Ca, Mg) and micro nutrients (Fe, Zn, Mn, Cu, B) absorption and yield, yield components (plant height, pod length, number of pod per plant, number of grain per pod, thousand grains weight and protein) of dwarf bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L. cv. Akman-98) grown under Konya ecological conditions in 2006 and 2007 years. Field experiments were conducted in the randomized blocks split plot design with four replications. Soil applications were supplied on band as single time in sowing and foliar treatments were sprayed two times in 25th and 35th days after emergency. According to the results, ME was generally better than MS and foliar spraying was also better than soil applications in both of fertilizers with respect to yield and most of yield components. While manganese application was decreasing total P, Ca, Fe, Cu and B contents of leaf, total K, Zn and Mn contents of the leaf was increased. In addition, while the difference among N, P, K, Ca, Mg, Fe, Zn, Mn, Cu and B contents dissolving in the water of the leaf and treatments was insignificant, active Fe contents of the leaf and treatments was significant (P< 0.05), statistically. The highest grain yields were obtained by the dose of 0.2 % of ME sprayed to leaf in the first year (278.34 kg da-1) and that of 0.3 % of ME also sprayed to leaf in the second year (309.21 kg da-1).
