Abstract
Bu çalışmada ekonomik büyümenin belirleyicileri; farklı gelir grubundan 152 ülkeye ait 2000-2017 dönemi verileri kullanılarak analiz edilmiştir. Serilerin durağanlığı; Fisher ADF, LLC ve IPS yöntemleriyle incelenmiş ve bütün serilerin I(0) oldukları görülmüştür. Regresyon analizlerinde yüksek gelirli ülkelerde ekonomik büyümeyi; doğurganlık oranı ve ithalatın negatif, kamu harcamaları, ihracat, eğitim harcamaları, doğrudan yabancı yatırımlar, sağlık harcamaları, doğumda beklenen ortalama yaşam süresi, enflasyon ve ticari dışa açıklığın pozitif etkilediği görülmüştür. Üst-orta gelirli ülkelerde ekonomik büyümeyi; ithalat ve doğumda beklenen ortalama yaşam süresinin negatif, diğer değişkenlerin pozitif etkilediği belirlenmiştir. Alt-orta gelirli ülkelerde ekonomik büyümeyi; doğurganlık oranı, kamu harcamaları, ihracat, enflasyon ve ticari dışa açıklık olumlu yönde etkilerken, ithalat ve sağlık harcamaları olumsuz yönde etkilemiştir. Düşük gelirli ülkelerde ekonomik büyümeyi ihracat ve doğumda beklenen ortalama yaşam süresindeki artışlar olumlu yönde etkilerken, doğurganlık oranı, ithalat, doğrudan yabancı yatırımlar ve ticari dışa açıklık olumsuz yönde etkilemiştir.
In this study, determinants of economic growth are analyzed by using the data of the 2000-2017 periods of 152 countries from different income groups. The stationarity of the series is tested by Fisher ADF, LLC and IPS methods. All series are found to be I(0). Regression analysis show that, fertility rate and imports negatively affects economic growth while public expenditures, exports, education expenditures, foreign direct investments, health expenditures, expected average life expectancy at birth, inflation and openness in trade have positive impact in high-income countries positively. In upper-middle income countries, effects of import and expected average life expectancy at birth on economic growth are negative, and other variables' effects are positive. Although fertility rate, public expenditures, exports, inflation and openness to trade have a positive impact on economic growth in lower-middle-income countries, they have affected import and health expenditures negatively. While the economic growth in low-income countries is positively affected by the increase in the expected average life expectancy of birth and exports, fertility rate, imports, foreign direct investments and openness to trade have negative affect.
