Özet
Lykaonia Bölgesi bugünkü Konya merkez ve ilçeleri ile Karaman, Aksaray illerinin bir bölümünü kapsamaktadır. Lykaonia bölgesi coğrafi konumu itibariyle antik dönemde bölgeler arası geçişte bulunmasından dolayı stratejik öneme sahiptir. Bu bölgedeki çeşitli inanışların ve kültürlerin izlerini bölgedeki eserlerde gözlemlemekteyiz. Hiş şüphesiz süvari betimlemeleri de bölgede savaşçı toplumun o dönemdeki yaşantısını bize ikonografik açıdan yansıtmaktadır. Bölgede çoğunlukla ostothek, mezar steli ve kaya kabartmalarında süvari betimlemelerine rastlamak mümkündür. Bu betimleme sanatı tamamen bölgesel olup komşu Isauria bölge ile büyük benzerlik göstermektedir. Süvari figürleri elleri havada mızrak atarken betimlenmiş ve askeri elbise olarak bilinen kısa tunika giyimlidirler. Burada dikkatimizi çeken bir başka unsur atın hareket yönü olmuştur. Genelde sağ tarafa yönelme söz konusudur. Çalışmamızda bunun detaylarına da değinilmiştir. Lykaonia Bölgesindeki kaya kabartmaları ise komşu bölgelerdeki Isauria ve Psidia bölgeleri ile benzerlik gösterir. Doğal kaya yüzeyine yerel kültle ilişkili olarak atlı tanrı motifi sentez edilmiştir. Taşlıpınar'daki doğal kaya kütlesi üzerinde yedi tane kemerli niş içerisinde betimlenmiş Yunan pantheonunda savaşçı tanrı olarak bilinen Ares kültü taşra sanatıyla bu anlamda dikkat çekmektedir. Lykanoia region includes Konya's countries and it includes also Karaman, Aksaray. Lykanoia Region has a strategic value because its geographical position has ancient time's impress. This region has lots of believes and cultures. We can see these believes and cultures from the historical artifact in this area. Without doubt, the description of cavalaries reflect us from iconographic aspects that the life of the warrior society in the area. In this region we can usually come across with cavalry figures on osthotek, grave stele and on rock reliefs. This representational art is regional and it is similar to its neighbour Isauria region. Cavalry figures depicted in the air while spear and they wear short tunica. Another factor is the direction of horse's movement. They usually turn to the right side. In our study we can see this details. Rock reliefs in Lykanoia region are similar to the rock reliefs in Isauria and Psidia regions. There are horseman-god motif on the natural rock. There is a natural rock in Taşlıpınar, it has got seven arched niche and in these niche we can see the cult of Ares. Ares known as the warrior god in greek pantheon and the cult of Ares attract attention with provincial art in greek pantheon. Keywords: Lykanoia Region, Cult, Cavalry, Horseman God.
